Shah Rukh Khan is the undisputed king of Bollywood. He rules over millions of hearts with his unparalleled acting skills and jaw-dropping looks. SRK has worked hard to reach the top, and he continues to mesmerise his fans with his power-packed performances. The actor has proven his mettle in acting by working in blockbuster films like Jawan, Pathaan, Dunki, Dilwale, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Om Shanti Om, My Name Is Khan, Chennai Express, Veer-Zaara, Mohabbatein, Raees and many more.
In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, actor and politician, Ravi Kishan opened up about his contemporaries, Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar. He spoke in length about SRK's dedication towards his work. Talking more about it, he recalled an old incident from their film, Army. Ravi stated that despite having a 103-degree fever, Shah Rukh went on the sets and watched the shooting of the climax scene. He added that SRK had a cameo role in the film, yet he showed full dedication to the film. In his words:
"We were shooting the climax song of Army at Mehboob Studio. Shah Rukh had a 103 fever, and even with that fever, he came and sat on the set. He didn’t even have a big role in the film. It was a cameo role. Still, he watched the shoot with full commitment. His eyes had that attitude of do or die."

Well, this is not the first time when someone from the industry has talked about Shah Rukh's dedication and commitment to his work. Earlier, filmmaker, Sanjay Gupta penned a heartfelt note for SRK after watching his film, Jawan. Taking to his X handle (previously known as Twitter) on September 9, 2023, the filmmaker tweeted how the film, Jawan took him back to the 90s, when SRK stood up to the underworld. His tweet could be read as:
"I saw JAWAN. I feel compelled to share this. Back in the 90's when the underworld bullying of the film stars was at its peak @iamsrk was THE ONLY star who never gave in. "Goli marni hai mar do, par tumhaare liye kaam nahin karoonga. Main Pathan hoon." He said. He's the same today."
Earlier, in a candid conversation with Mid-Day, Karan Johar had shared a special anecdote from his and Shah Rukh's friendship. The filmmaker revealed that during the shooting of the film, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, he received a death threat from an underworld don. However, Shah Rukh stood strong beside him. In his words:
"I’ll never forget how Shah Rukh brought me out. He said, ‘I’ll take the bullet for you, you just stand here’. That’s when I realised that this is a relationship that is forever. Shah Rukh said, ‘What nonsense!’ He went inside and dragged me out. He said, ‘I’m standing here in front of you. Let’s see who shoots you. I’m standing right here.’ I said, ‘No, no, no, my mother was…’ He told my mother, ‘Nothing’s gonna happen. I’m a Pathan. Nothing can happen to me and nothing will happen to your son. He’s like my brother. Nothing’s gonna happen."
