No matter how much a girl doesn’t want to get married, deep down in her heart, she only looks forward to becoming a bride. That lovely bridal lehenga, ‘I will team up with this and that’, ‘I won’t wear heels, but will go for sneakers’, and so on and so forth, these are the few things that keep hovering over in the minds of many girls who’s only dream is to become a bride! And then, we also have our celebrities, who when get married, leave a mark on our mind with their astonishing and chic bridal looks. One actress who topped the list this decade is none other than Anushka Sharma.
Remember how beautiful she looked in her pink Sabysachi lehenga? Anushka had worn a beautiful pale blush pink silk lehenga, hand-embroidered with Indian lotus motifs merging with European flora and fauna. Though Anushka and Virat Kohli’s wedding in itself was a surprise for all of us, it was her unusual yet modish bridal look that had made many heads turn, saying ‘wow’ in chorus. We are sure many girls who already had gotten married by then would have said, “Oh no! Aise krna chahiye tha mujhe apna brial look" while others would have bookmarked it and said, “Aise hi karungi main apna wedding look.” The real bride who falls under the latter category is a Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. bride named, Sonam Basantani, who chose to recreate the exactly same bridal look as that of celeb bride, Anushka Sharma.
On the official page of Sabyasachi, the pictures have been shared, captioning the post as, “Real bride Sonam Basantani @sonambasantani in Sabyasachi for her wedding in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. Earlier, explaining Anushka Sharma’s look, Sabyasachi had shared, “At Sabyasachi we take the art of couture rather seriously. Our beautiful bridal lehengas are created in the good old fashion principles of dress making. From concept to finish, everything is lovingly created by human hands with skill sets passed down through many generations across many centuries. On Her: A pale blush pink silk lehenga hand-embroidered with Indian lotus motifs merging with European flora and fauna.” (Also Read: Aamir Khan's Daughter, Ira Khan 'Just Wants To Dance' With Musician-Boyfriend, Mishaal Kirpalani)
The post had further added, “The entire lehenga is meticulously hand-crafted in silk floss and gold and silver ‘tilla’ work. It took 67 karigars, approximately 32 days to finish this piece of modern heirloom. The look is accessorised with vintage uncut diamond jewellery threaded together with baroque pearls, emeralds, tourmalines and Iranian turquoise beads. Jewellery Courtesy: Sabyasachi Heritage Jewelry.”
Further, explaining more about Anushka’s exotic bridal jewellery, Sabyasachi Mukherjee had earlier shared, “Bridal jewellery handcrafted with syndicate uncut diamonds, pale pink spinel and baroque Japanese cultured pearls by the Sabyasachi Heritage Jewelry collection.” Posting the following picture on his social media handle, he had written, “Anushka getting ready for her wedding! In a Sabyasachi uncut diamond and spinel choker, earrings and mathapatti. But we think the hero is the lush Tuscan hydrangeas! There is something so ethereal about brides wearing fresh flowers in their hair! It is a crowning glory!” (Checkout: Dipika Kakar Is Super-Happy As Shoaib Ibrahim Helps Her Enjoy On A Hammock, Calls Him The Sweetest)
