Rekha Helped Jeetendra With Resolving An Income Tax Issue By Serving Officer Snacks 'He Was Floored'

Rekha, one of the most versatile actresses in Bollywood has a massive fandom all over the world. With her gorgeousness, acting skills, intelligence, grasp over dancing, and more, Rekha is truly iconic. Rekha began her career as a child artist in two films and went on to work in several movies. As of now, Rekha has starred in more than 150 movies, and her acting skills have been praised all over the world. Well, she often used to make headlines with her controversial personal life. 

Jeetendra revealed how Rekha once helped him to solve an income tax issue

Rekha's on-screen chemistry with Jeetendra was also loved by the actress' fans. Not only on-screen, but also they shared a good bond off-screen as well. The actress proved her friendship to the actor by several means. Recently, Jeetendra shared one of the anecdotes, that proves how close of a friend he was to the legendary actress. In an interview with Filmfare, on Rekha's 70th birthday this year, Jeetendra shared how the actress once helped him with an income tax issue.

In the interview, Jeetendra added that his CA once pointed out an income tax issue of his, and while they were discussing the same, the former revealed that the officer in charge was a huge fan of Rekha. As soon as his CA revealed the same and added that the officer would love to have a meet-up with the actress, the actor instantly contacted Rekha, asking her to help. The actress agreed to the same in no time.

Talking about how Rekha helped him, Jeetendra added that the actress met the officer, who was all thrilled. Not only this, Rekha even served that fanboy snacks by her own hands, and he was floored, which helped Jeetendra to solve his income tax issue. The actor further stated that several times, Rekha helped him and stood like a strong pillar of support. Calling her his jaan, Jeetendra mentioned:

"She went out of her way to be cordial with the officer. What’s more she even served him snacks with her own hands. The fan boy was floored and my tax problems were all sorted . Now you tell me, who does that? Unless it’s a true friend. There have been so many instances where she’s just been there rock solid. Rekha is my jaan. She’s a yaaron ka yaar.”

Rekha's personal life has always been a topic of discussion. Apart from Amitabh Bachchan, Rekha was linked with several stars, and one of them was Jeetendra. Well, it was reported that Rekha and Jeetendra's relationship began and lasted for a short amount of time. As per the reports, Rekha liked the actor, and it was an infatuation for her. 

However, it was during the shoot of their movie, Bechara in Shimla, when Rekha allegedly overheard Jeetendra saying that she was a mere 'timepass' for him, and it broke her heart into pieces. Rekha was devastated after hearing this and cried for hours in the makeup room. Well, she later decided to move on from this relationship and ended the same on the movie's set.
