Renowned dancer, Remo D'Souza and his wife, Lizelle D'Souza are facing charges in Maharashtra for allegedly defrauding a dance troupe of Rs. 11.96 crores. According to a PTI report, Remo, his wife, and five others are accused of cheating and forgery. Other defendants include Ramesh Gupta, Vinod Raut (a police officer), Frame Production Company, Rohit Jadhav, and Omprakash Shankar Chouhan. The case has been filed under several provisions of the Indian Penal Code, such as section 420 (cheating) and section 465 (forgery).
