After completing his higher studies, Revant Himatsinghka started working as a corporate program analyst at Nomura from 2014 to 2015. After this, he joined INITO as a director and worked there for over 3 years. Hemant also went to Dubai and worked there for 3 months with Strategy& as summer senior associate. However, it was in October 2020 that he joined McKinsey & Company as a Management Consultant. Revant worked there for 2 years and 7 months before leaving his Rs. 2 crore per year package to start his 'health literate' revolution in India.
It was in April 2023 when Revant Himatsinghka left his high-paying job at McKinsey & Company to return to India with an aim to make its people' health literate'. In an interview with Telegraph India, Revant opened up about the same and admitted that it wasn't easy but a necessary step in his journey. He said:
"I was making great money, and had been living in the US for 13 years, so it wasn't easy to leave. But I believed that if I came back to India, raised awareness and added enough value, I would find a way to make money too. I was genuinely interested in making a change."

April 2023 was the month that changed the lives of so many people after Revant Himatsinghka reviewed Cadbury's Bournvita, which is considered as one of the healthiest drinks in India for children. However, Revant told the FMCG giant to consider changing its tagline from 'Taiyari jeet ki' to 'Taiyari diabetes ki'. The video went viral, and soon, a legal notice was sent to Revant by Mondelez International, and the company also claimed that each serving of Bournvita contains only 7.5 grams of added sugar.
During the Bournvita controversy, Revant Himatsinghka stated that people consider cold drinks unhealthy and have them once a week. Still, they aren't aware of the sugar levels in Bourvita and take it twice a day, which eventually makes Bournvita worse than soft drinks. After months of struggle, it was in December 2023 when Revant made a video and informed everyone that Bournvita had reduced its added sugar by 14.4 per cent.
For the unversed, Bournvita previously had 32.2 grams of added sugar per 100 grams but after Revant's video, the company had dropped it to 14.4 per cent added sugar per 100 grams. Calling it a 'big win', Revant didn't stop there and has been dropping informative videos to make India' health literate'. We hope he continues to make Indians aware of labels so that FMCG companies cannot sell them trash in the name of flawed taglines.
