On September 7, 2020, Bollywood actress, Rhea Chakraborty had filed an FIR against her boyfriend and late actor, Sushant Singh Rajput's sisters, Priyanka Singh, Meenu Singh, and Dr Tarun Kumar of Ram Manohar Lohiya Hospital in the Bombay High Court. Rhea has accused Sushant's sister and the doctor for using a fabricated prescription in order to let Sushant access to some unprescribed medicines that are banned under the acts of NCB (Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substances Act). However, according to NDTV, the FIR registered by Rhea has been rubbished by the CBI and has been labelled as 'bad in law'. CBI has also stated Mumbai Police that there's no need to file an FIR regarding these accusations in the future also, as they're completely baseless. The statement released by CBI can be read as "It is correct that if the allegations mentioned in the FIR, prima facie, do not constitute an offence of making out a case against the accused, the FIR can be quashed by Constitutional Courts. Pertinently, the allegation levelled in the instant FIR is mostly presumptive and speculative." Also, CBI stated that if Rhea had something solid about Sushant's sisters, then she should have shared those details with them, instead of filing a separate FIR in the court.
