Rhea Chakraborty has been constant media scrutiny since the death of late actor, Sushant Singh Rajput. The actress-VJ began her career in showbiz through TV show, MTV India's TVS Scooty Teen Diva in 2009. She later debuted with the Telugu film, Tuneega Tuneega and entered Bollywood with the 2013 film, Mere Dad Ki Maruti as 'Jasleen'. Despite being a part of several films, Rhea Chakraborty became a nationwide sensation, receiving a lot of hate when her ex-boyfriend, Sushant Singh Rajput's family, pressed charges against her for his suicide. In a new interview, Rhea opened up about her marriage plans for the future.
Rhea Chakraborty is reportedly dating entrepreneur, Nikhil Kamath. Previously, she dated actor, Sushant Singh Rajput, but the former couple kept their relationship under wraps till it came forward after his untimely demise. Recently, Rhea Chakraborty sat down for an interview with the Humans Of Bombay and shared details about her perspective towards marriage and her plans to marry.

Rhea added that some of her friends were married in their 20s, and some were in their 30s. The 32-year-old went on to mention that, as per her analysis, the women who get married in their 30s and 40s are 'winning.' The VJ said she is not yet ready for marriage because she wants to do many more things in her career. Rhea mentions that she doesn't want to get married and be in a situation where she has to ask her husband's permission to do anything in her life. She was quoted as saying:
"I'm 32 and I don't think I'm ready yet because I want to a lot of things in my professional life...I don't want to go to a court of law for one more thing. Waha se yeh bhi permission loon k kisse pyaar karna hai? I go for my passport, I don't want to go for this. If you are in that place in your life where you're thriving, I don't think a man or being someone's wife is going to fulfil it."
In the same interview, Rhea shared that there is no right age to get married, and she is reaching an age where she wonders about the reason for getting married. The Jalebi actress mentioned how men don't feel pressure for marriage due to any biological clock, but women do. In her words:
"First of all, there is no right age for marriage. Secondly, I'm reaching this place, 'Karni hi kyun hai' Why do you want to get married?... Why should this be a pressure on you only? Men don't feel this pressure. Because of the biological clock. Great, you can freeze your eggs. That is also a bit torturous, but please do it because it's available."
The rumours of Rhea Chakraborty and Nikhil Kamath's relationship were rife when they were spotted on a bike ride across Mumbai on August 17, 2024. Rhea wore lavender-hued denim with a cropped top for the ride. She paired it with a denim jacket on her casual outfit and tied her hair in a ponytail while donning a back face mask. On the other hand, Nikhil kept it simple with a black-hued t-shirt, blue shorts, and a puffer jacket. However, none of them have made any formal announcement of their relationship.
