Sanjay Leela Bhansali's debut web series, Heeramandi, has been making headlines. The magic of the Diamond Bazaar is spread across the world as India and Pakistan are in awe of SLB's romanticism with the courtesan and kotha culture. While the series is being appreciated for its grandeur, it is Sanjay Leela Bhansali's niece, Sharmin Segal, who has been getting trolled for her acting. Fans were not able to relate to her character, and they made fun of her. Now, her co-star, Richa Chadha talked about the same.
Recently, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Richa Sharma reacted to netizens trolling her co-star Sharmin's acting in the series and how they are brutally criticising it. Richa clearly stated that it is the audience's right, and she added that people can like or dislike the show. Similarly, they can like a performance or not. She added that the only sad part about today's opinions is that they make memes, which are hurtful. She was quoted as saying;
"I think truthfully, it is the audience’s right. It’s the audience’s prerogative that you like the show, you dislike the show. You like a performance, you dislike a performance. But what happens today, I think in the era of social media, when people start trolling, making memes, doing all that, that’s a bit hurtful, I think, for anyone. We must never be unkind because it can happen to you tomorrow. And everyone is a human being."
