Richa Chadha is one of the finest actresses in Bollywood. She is known for her bold persona, and her choice of unconventional films have surely won millions of hearts of her fans. Moreover, she is also known for her strong opinions, and she never shies away from speaking her mind. In her personal life, she is married to her Fukrey co-star, Ali Fazal. And now, Richa opened up on dealing with jealousies in the film industry.
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Richa Chadha opened up on facing stiff jealousy from her co-star's in the film industry. Recalling her initial days in the showbiz world, she mentioned how during the shooting of her film, Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye, she had faced the worst attitude from one of her co-stars, who ordered his team to throw away her things in a fit of rage. Elaborating more on the incident, she mentioned:
“It’s happened several times. In fact, on my first film there was a time when I felt really bad. I had come straight from college to do a scene in Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye, and I had 103-104 fever. I was told that someone is going to come at a later time, so till then I can use this particular vanity van, and for the whole day I would anyway be shooting. So I got ready and left, but in the meantime someone came, their staff threw all my stuff.”

In an older interview with India Today, Richa Chadha had opened up on how she never sought relevance or validation in the film industry. Despite the world of movies being a highly competitive field, she mentioned that she never wanted to come down into competition with other contemporary actresses. Moreover, she added that she treats films merely as her work and it is her passion for the same that drives her. In her words:
“I have no desire to be relevant. I have no desire to have validation from critics or from viewers or from reviewers. I rarely watch things that I have done. It is not that I am not interested in my work. It keeps me alive. It is everything to me. It is the spark that gives my life meaning. But I am just at a place where I feel like I have made something and it has this confluence of energies.”
Unlike a few other celebrities in the film industry who belong from notable film families, Richa Chadha, on the contrary, has come down from rather humble backgrounds. Speaking about the same in an earlier interview with The Times Of India, Richa revealed that the initial days of her career were difficult as she would often get replaced at the last minute. In fact, she also added how many members of the industry would have either discouraged her from taking up new projects, or given her wrong advice.
