The year 2020 began on a sad note with the global pandemic but the grief had worsened when one of the shiniest stars of Bollywood, Rishi Kapoor had bid adieu to his loved ones. On the morning of April 30, 2020, the nation had woken up to the shocking news of the veteran actor’s death. The 68 year-old-actor was fighting from cancer and had freed himself from all the pains and had left for his heavenly abode. When the film, Bobby had broken all the records, it gave us a superstar named, Rishi Kapoor. He was a charmer, who would melt anyone’s heart with his smile. Coming from the family of legends, acting was in his veins. Movies like, Bobby, Karz, and Chandini had gotten him the tag of a romantic hero, and he had become every girl’s dream man through his effortless performances. Nearly, 50 years of an active film career, Rishi Kapoor had always believed in hard work and staying true to one’s craft. Now, on his birth anniversary, his daughter, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni shares an emotional note for him.

Today, on Rishi Kapoor’s 68th birth anniversary, his daughter, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni took to her IG handle and shared an array of pictures with her late father. Along with the pictures, she recalled the values instilled by him. Her emotional note can be read as “Papa, They say when you lose someone, you can’t live without -your heart will badly break! But I know you are living in this broken heart & will be there forever! I know you are watching over all of us & ensuring that we live by the value system you instilled in us! You gave me the gift of compassion - taught me the value of relationships & made me the person I am today! I miss you each day & will always love you! Celebrating you today & always - Happy Birthday” followed by a heart emoticon.

Riddhima couldn’t attend her father’s funeral due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She had penned an emotional eulogy for her papa. She had taken to her Instagram handle and had shared a selfie with Rishi ji and had written, “Papa I love you I will always love you - RIP my strongest warrior I will miss you everyday I will miss your FaceTime calls everyday! On May 03, 2020, Riddhima Kapoor had taken to her Instagram stories and had shared two unseen pictures of her late father, Rishi Kapoor. The first story had a picture of her late grandmother, Krishna Raj Kapoor with her ‘papa’ Rishi Kapoor with a heart emoticon atop it. The other story was a throwback family picture of the times when Riddhima and Ranbir Kapoor were kids, with young Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor.
While she has been posting throwback pictures of her papa, on May 7, 2020, the doting daughter had shared an adorable picture with a heart-melting note for her mother, Neetu Kapoor. She had taken to her Instagram stories and had shared a throwback selfie in which Neetu Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor were smiling for the camera. Along with the picture, she had written an emotional caption which could be read as “Got your back Ma #yourpillars” atop it.
