A father remains the first love of his daughter! No matter how old she gets, her 'daddy bear' holds the most important place in her list of favourite people. However, saying goodbye to him is the hardest thing, a girl has to do. And Riddhima Sahni Kapoor, daughter of late legendary actor, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor, felt the same emotions when she heard the news of the demise of her 'daddy dearest'. Sadly, the news came at that time of the year when the entire nation is on lockdown and Riddhima was not even able to attend her father's last rites. As we are writing this piece of news, we are feeling so strange to write 'late' before the legendary actor, Rishi Kapoor. Somehow, we are still not able to believe that Rishi ji had left us 'forever'. It seems like a bad dream and soon, Rishi ji's Twitter handle will be abuzz with a new tweet. Uhmm, but in reality, it will never happen! And this fact will always haunt us that we lost the brightest star of Bollywood industry without any final goodbyes.
On May 5, 2020, Rishi ji's daughter, Riddhima took to her Instagram story and shared an unseen picture from her father's life. She posted an Instagram story of Rishi Kapoor with his mother, Krishna Raj and captioned it as "Reunited with his most favourite person." In the monochrome picture, we can see Rishi ji holding her mother's hand as if he is asking for her to dance with him. Check it out below:
For those who don't know, Riddhima lives in Delhi and because of it she was not able to attend her father's funeral. However, according to a report by NDTV, Riddhima had asked the Union Home Ministry for permission to fly to Mumbai by a chartered flight but she had not gotten it. Due to the nationwide lockdown, trains, buses and flights are also not working and because of it Riddhima had reached Mumbai two days later. In a throwback interview with NDTV, Riddhima had talked about her childhood and how Rishi ji was as a father. She had revealed, "Papa used to play such fun games with my brother Ranbir and me! He had a sort of Koffee with Karan-type buzzer round where he'd ask 20 questions, and whoever replied first would be the winner. Ranbir and I now call this "Dinner with Daddy" - like Koffee with Karan! And despite his busy schedule, he'd see to it that every Sunday, he would take the family out for a meal - lunch or dinner. No matter how tired or exhausted he'd be from shooting, he'd never forget. Love you, papa."
