Just when we thought that the sudden demise of Bollywood’s incredibly talented actor, Irrfan Khan is the biggest tragedy of this year, we are down on the floor hearing the news of Bollywood’s iconic actor, Rishi Kapoor’s death. The actor, who has entertained for decades with his amazing performances and inspiring battle with cancer, has finally left us once and for all. It’s heartbreaking to digest this loss because he wasn’t just a marvellous actor but also a beautiful human from the inside. The actor taught us to be brave while doing something good for the society and not to feel discouraged by the failures of your life. No wonder he was such an inspiration for billions of people out there. But, the legendary actor, Rishi Kapoor has left us all in the middle of our long journey and the Indian Cinema has suffered another massive loss in a span of 24 hours. The actor took his last breath in Mumbai after his long battle with cancer. Now an official statement has been released by his wife, Neetu Kapoor on Instagram.
On April 30, 2020, Neetu Kapoor took to her Instagram handle and posted a heart-melting picture of her husband, Rishi Kapoor followed by a long note from the Kapoor family. The note revealed all the heartbreaking details about the demise of Bollywood’s legendary actor, Rishi Kapoor. Some of the important information that is delivered is that the actor took his last breath at 8:45 a.m. IST and ended his two-year-long battle with leukaemia. The note also revealed that the whole medical staff and the loved ones that used to visit him were always amazed by his will power as he always used to entertain everyone. At the end of the long note, the family urged people to remember him with a smile instead of tears and follow the laws that are imposed by the government to make this world a happy place again. Rishi Kapoor's daughter, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni posted a picture with her dad on her Instagram handle and wrote a caption that can be read as "Papa I love you I will always love you - RIP my strongest warrior I will miss you every day I will miss your FaceTime calls every day! Until we meet again papa I love you". The doting daughter also posted some throwback pictures with her father and mother in her Instagram stories, as she misses him badly. While on one picture, she wrote "I already miss you! Come back na papa!" in the second one she wrote "Wish I could be there to say goodbye to you, papa" atop of it. Among many, Karisma Kapoor is the one, who posted a monochrome picture from her childhood days with her uncle, Rishi Kapoor and grandfather, Raj Kapoor. Along with the picture, Karisma wrote, "Always looking over family..chintu uncle will miss discussing food and restaurants with you.. #uncle #legend." Also, Karisma's sister, Kareena Kapoor Khan posted a childhood picture of his father, Randhir Kapoor with her uncle, Rishi Kapoor on her Instagram handle. Along with the adorable picture, Kareen wrote "The best boys I know... Papa and Chintu uncle" in the caption. Take a look. No wonder it’s a devastating time for the whole Kapoor family, Indian Cinema, and the country, as we lost an incredible human being and a tremendous actor in Rishi Kapoor. However, there’s no denying to the fact that Rishi Kapoor’s wife, Neetu Kapoor played a crucial part in his battle against cancer and was with him like a rock right till the end. In an interview with the Deccan Chronicle, Rishi Kapoor had shared how his family and especially, his wife, Neetu Kapoor was so caring and supportive of him in his journey. Rishi Kapoor had praised his wife and said, “Neetu has stood by me like a rock. Otherwise, I am too difficult a person to handle as far as food and drinks are concerned. My kids Ranbir and Ridhima have shouldered my problems.” Well, our deepest condolences are with the Kapoor family and we hope God gives them the much-needed strength in this tragic time.
