Rohit Roy made his debut in the television world with two hit shows like Swabhimaan and Des Mein Nikla Hoga Chand. He has also made commendable contributions to the Hindi film industry, with movies like Kaabil, Shootout At Lokhandwala, Dus Kahaniyaan among others. He was recently a part of the popular reality show, Khatron Ke Khiladi 13, but had walked out of it midway due to some serious physical injury. And now, in a recent interview, Rohit spoke about his work life and revealed that he is not getting suitable opportunities.
In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Rohit Roy opened up about his professional life, and revealed that he is in a much better place in his career, than where he was a few years back, when he used to get the bare minimum opportunities. Moreover, he also revealed having called eminent filmmaker, Karan Johar and asking him for work, since he has often appreciated Rohit in his projects. In his words:
“I have called people and said that I want to work with you. Recently, I called Karan Johar and said that I have known you for such a long time, I am doing good work, you say that I am doing good work, so why are you not giving me work? I have realised that there are so many people who are there, who are doing their own thing. Everybody is on their own struggle.”

In the same interview, Rohit Roy took a subtle dig at Karan Johar and his recently released film, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. He highlighted how there may stand a chance that after listening to this interview, Karan may give out a role to him in the sequel of his latest film, sometime in the future. In his words:
“Maybe after this interview, Karan will call me and say that I am a part of Rocky Aur Rani Part 2.”
In one of his previous interviews with The Times of India, Rohit Roy spoke about the often-made comparisons between him and his elder brother, Ronit Roy. For the unversed, Ronit is also an established actor both in the television and film world. Speaking about the same, Rohit mentioned how he is never bothered with such comparisons, as he has always deemed Ronit as his father-like elder brother. Moreover, he also shared the deep respect he has for Ronit, and even today, he thinks twice before sitting with him for a drink.

In the same interview, Rohit Roy recalled his career of 25 long years in the film industry, and remarked how it had been more of lows than highs. Calling himself an outsider, he revealed having no support to fall back on after each of his failures. However, he was thankful for having sailed through it and never said give up.
