Rohit Sharma And Ritika's Choose A 'Sanskrit-Originated' Name, Ahaan For Baby Boy, Know Its Meaning

Rohit Sharam and Ritika Sajdeh are in seventh heaven as their family completed with the arrival of their baby boy. On December 1, 2024, Ritika, in one of the cutest ways, announced her newborn son's name — 'Ahaan' — which is quite similar to Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma's son, 'Akaay'.

Ritika took her Instagram stories and shared a beautiful picture of her Christmas decorations. There was a cutesy caricature of the Sharma family featuring Rohit Sharma, Ritika Sajdeh, and their two kids. Atop it, the family's nicknames were mentioned, but the newest member of their clan had his full name, 'Ahaan', written on it.

What is the meaning of Ahaan?

For those who don't know, the name Ahaan originated from Sanskrit, the oldest language used in the Indian subcontinent. It means 'day' or 'dawn' and can also be translated as sunrise, morning glory, or auspicious dawn. Another meaning of this unique Sanskrit name is the 'beginning or rise of anything'.

Individuals named 'Ahaan' are often charismatic, confident, and outgoing. They are also said to be born with the ability to captivate others with their charm. People named 'Ahaan' have a friendly nature and tend to make others feel comfortable. 

When Rohit Sharma announced the birth of his baby boy with reference to his favourite series F.R.I.E.N.D.S

Rohit and Ritika kept their pregnancy a secret for the longest time. When reports of his son's birth were made public, the next day, Rohit, officially announced the arrival of his baby boy. Taking to his IG handle, Rohit Sharma shared a cute poster featuring him, Ritika, and Samaira's caricatures. However, the cutest part was Samaira holding a baby boy in her arms.  The photo also had the iconic props that were used in F.R.I.E.N.D.S, such as 'Monica's door', and the 'orange couch'. Along with it, Rohit wrote:

"F.A.M.I.L.Y, the one where we are four". 

The reports of Rohit and Ritika's baby made rounds when a fun video was made round wherein Surya Kumar Yadav was heard announcing the baby's arrival. He said:

"Chhota bat leke jayenge… aur ek cricketer aaya hai."
