The South Indian superstar, Jr NTR is currently enjoying the success of his film, RRR, at the Golden Globe Awards 2023. The film’s song, Naatu Naatu, won the award for Best Original Song beating so many remarkable tracks worldwide. It was a huge moment for the music composer, MM Keeravani, who was the man behind this masterpiece and a remarkable achievement for the film’s director, SS Rajamouli too.
However, above all, it was a massive win for Indian cinema, as it was the first time when the Golden Globe Award travelled to India. In a conversation with LA Times, Jr NTR opened up about RRR’s huge win at the Golden Globe Awards 2023 and also shared his views indirectly on the kind of criticism he had received for his accent.

The South Indian actor explained how people back in India and here in the United States of America and across the globe are divided by time zones and a little bit by accent. Jr NTR added that an actor in the East goes through almost the same process as an actor in West. The actor said:
"We are just divided by time zones and a little bit of an accent. Other than that, what an actor goes through in the West is exactly the same process as in the East."
For the unversed, soon after RRR’s Naatu Naatu won the Best Original Song at the Golden Globe Awards 2023, Jr NTR shared his response about the win in conversation with the media stationed outside the venue. However, the actor was trolled badly for trying to talk in an American accent.
While some people mocked him for not talking in his native accent, and some admitted that it was embarrassing to watch their favourite star talking in such a fake accent. Apart from getting trolled for his accent, Jr NTR received a lot of love for being one of the first persons to congratulate music composer, MM Keeravani for winning the award. The actor had taken to his IG handle and posted a priceless picture of the music composer posing for the cameras while holding his Golden Globe Award. Along with the then-viral picture, Jr NTR penned a lovely note in the caption in which he praised MM Keeravani for his incredible work, and it could be read as:
"Congratulations Sirji on your well-deserved #GoldenGlobes award! I've danced to many songs throughout my career but #NaatuNaatu will forever stay close to my heart... #mmkeeravaani #rrrmovie."
