One of the highest-paid actresses in the television industry, Rupali Ganguly is loved by millions for her stellar performance in the television drama, Anupamaa. The actress recently attended an event, where she handed over an award to a veteran journalist. However, her gesture on stage won the hearts of millions, who hailed the actress for her down-to-earth personality.
On January 15, 2023, Rupali Ganguly attended Expandable Awards, where she handed over the award to the veteran journalist, Chaitanya Padukone. After giving him the award, Rupali bent down and touched his feet to seek his blessings. The journalist, who received the award from Rupali got surprised by the actress’ gesture.

As soon as the video was uploaded, netizens heaped praises on the beautiful actress for her humble nature. Some even complimented her upbringing and called her a true artist. While one of the users also wrote that despite her huge success, Rupali is very down to earth. Another user commented, “Insaan ko apni zameen, jazbaat or taalim kabhi nahi bhoolni chahiye.”

For the event, Rupali looked stunning as she donned a shimmery purple saree with a plain full-sleeved blouse. She complemented her look with a dainty necklace, earrings and bangles. Her loose tresses with subtle makeup added to her beauty.

Although Rupali Ganguly had made her television debut with Sukanya and was later seen in Sanjivini, it was her role of Monisha Sarabhai in Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai that rose her to prominence in 2004. After the show, Rupali became a household name. In 2013, Rupali tied the knot with her long-time friend, Ashwin K Verma, whom she had known for 12 years. In 2015, Rupali had embraced motherhood and welcomed a baby boy, Rudransh.
After delivering her baby boy, Rupali took a sabbatical from acting. After taking a sabbatical for seven years, Rupali returned to acting with the show, Anupamaa, which is one of the most popular shows on Indian television today.
Rupali had begun the show by charging Rs. 1.5 lakh per episode. However, as the show's TRPs skyrocketed, Rupali too had increased her fees to Rs. 3 lakhs per episode. She is now paid way ahead of the male leads of Indian television.
