In the old posts, Esha Verma had clearly stated that Rupali Ganguly and her father, Ashwin K Verma had an extra-marital affair for twelve years. Not only this, Esha also claimed that Rupali tried to separate her from his father. Esha also added that Rupali had a chaotic marriage with her father and labelled her as a 'psychotic person'. Further, in her old posts, Esha also revealed that Rupali gave her father strange medicines.
Esha Verma's old posts went viral on social media, creating a massive controversy around Rupali Ganguly and her husband, Ashwin K Verma. After this, Esha sat down in a conversation with Fress Press Journal and addressed her old posts that were doing rounds on the internet. Referring to the same, Esha revealed that she was just 3 years old when her father's extra-marital affair with Rupali started in 2000. "I understand that my younger daughter still holds a lot of hurt about the dissolution of her parent's relationship, as divorce is a difficult experience that can greatly affect and harm the children of that marriage."
Talking about Rupali Ganguly's husband, Ashwin K Verma's profession, he is a businessperson, who was appointed as a corporate vice president at the New York Life Insurance company in the past. After working there for 19 years, he left his job and moved to Mumbai, where he started an advertising agency. Ashwin is also a corporate filmmaker who has done a lot of ad shoots in the past. For the uninitiated, he met Rupali while shooting an ad in which she was the main lead.
In an old interview with The Times Of India, Rupali Ganguly admitted that she and Ashwin K Verma were close friends for 12 years before tying the marital knot. She added that Ashwin was her confidant and philosopher, who always encouraged her to enter the television industry. On February 6, 2013, Rupali and Ashwin took the plunge in an intimate Bengali wedding. The couple embraced parenthood in 2015 when Rupali gave birth to a baby boy, whom they named Rudransh.
According to Ashwin K Verma's daughter, Esha Verma, he was married twice before tying the knot to Rupali Ganguly. Although the name of his first wife isn't available in the public domain, Esha confirmed that her father has been married thrice in his life. Ashwin and his second wife, Sapna Verma welcomed two daughters, Esha but the name of the second one is unknown. According to BollywoodLife, Sapna Verma was crowned as Miss Karnataka back in 1986.
After giving divorce to his second wife, Sapna Verma, Ashwin K Verma started a new life with Rupali Ganguly. However, time and again, we have heard him saying that even after parting ways with his second wife, he has a beautiful relationship with his daughters. Even Rupali was seen hanging out with Esha Verma in one of the old pictures. However, when Esha was asked about the same in her recent interview, she labelled it as a 'bare minimum' gesture from her step-mother. She criticised her and stated that she posted the picture just to inform everyone that she is related to them because they've cornered her. She said:
