The entertainment industry is going through a rough patch with the constant bad news. Even today, when the news of the demise of the Om Shanti Om and Anupamaa fame, Nitesh Pandey surfaced online, it left everyone heartbroken. For the unversed, Nitesh Pandey passed away on May 24, 2023, after suffering a heart attack. Now his Anupamaa co-star, Rupali Ganguly, and Om Shanti Om director, Farah Khan opened up about Nitesh's death and shared their heartfelt condolences.
Undoubtedly the news of Nitesh Pandey's demise left the entertainment world shocked. Now sharing her heartfelt condolences, Rupali Ganguly recalled how they continued to keep their friendship through all these years. The actress shared that Nitesh had come to meet Rupali's son, Rudransh when he was born. Sharing how close they were to each other, Rupali Ganguly shared that Nitesh even messaged her last week, and they made a plan to make their sons meet, Rudransh and Aarav. For the unversed, Aarav is Nitesh's son, who is a few months older than Rupali's son, Rudransh. Elaborating on the same, Rupali Ganguli shared:
"He was the only industry friend who stayed constantly in touch with me apart from Delnaaz and Sarabhais, during my sabbatical. He had even come to meet me after Rudransh was born. I can’t believe this! His son Aarav is just a few months older than Rudransh. He had messaged me just last week about a painting he had made and we had made plans to make our sons meet."

Sharing her grief about the sudden demise of her friend, Rupali then said that Nitesh was fiercely protective of her. The actress shared how they used to bond over their dogs as both Rupali and Nitesh's wife, Arpita are animal caregivers. Talking about the same, she shared:
"We would bond over dogs. His wife Arpita is an animal caregiver, feeder too like me. I am devastated! He was so so so fiercely protective about me."

In the same conversation, Rupali shared that she and Nitesh were like besties. She shared that at the beginning of the month, she got late and couldn't meet Nitesh at the set of Anupamaa, and she saw his car passing. And then, she called Nitesh to inform him that she had seen him. It was Nitesh who told her to wait for him to turn his car and come to meet her. However, it was Rupali who then told him to go back home and told him that they would meet the next week. The actress then shared that this happened three weeks back, and she could not believe she would never see her friend again. Rupali shared:

"Even when he came to Anupamaa, it felt as if you have your bestie next to you at your workplace. Just this month beginning, I had gone very late for a films get together and saw his car leaving, so I called him and said I saw you and he said tu ruk main aata hoon gaadi ghumake , and I said no no ghar jaa agale hafte milte hai. Teen hafte ho gaye uss baat ko and now I will never meet him. I can’t believe this!"
Farah Khan, the director of the movie, Om Shanti Om, where Nitesh Pandey played the role of Shah Rukh Khan's assistant, talked about the actor's sudden demise. She told ETimes that she was in shock after hearing such heartbreaking news. However, Farha also shared that she has some good memories of him. Sharing her condolences to Nitesh's family, Farah said:
"I was very shocked to hear about Nitesh passing away. We worked together in 'OSO' and I have good memories of him. He was always ready to improvise and had a good energy on the set. My condolences to his family."
As per the reports, The 51-year-old actor was shooting at Igatpuri on May 23, 2022. It was at 2 am when he suffered from a cardiac arrest and died almost immediately. Nitesh's brother-in-law and producer, Siddharth Nagar, later confirmed the news. So far as it is known, Nitesh's wife, Arpita Pandey is in absolute shock and cannot even talk to the family members.
