While the Anupamaa actress tried her best not to take any action, she left everyone in shock by filing a defamation lawsuit against her.
After a week of seeing Esha Verma's allegations made in the news, Rupali Ganguly filed a defamation case against her. However, her fans were left in shock with Rupali's take on filing a defamation case worth Rs. 50 crore against her step-daughter, Esha. The news went to Reddit, and netizens expressed their opinion. According to a report by HT City, Rupali Ganguly has sent a defamation notice to her step-daughter, Esha Verma. The 26-year-old had accused Rupali of not only having an extra-marital affair with her father, Ashwin K Verma, when he was already married but also of stealing her mother's jewellery and hitting her mother, Sapna Verma.
Rupali Ganguly's lawyer, Sana Raees Khan, shared that they have issued a defamation notice to her step-daughter in response to her false and amazing statement in the media. The lawyer also added that Rupali is against the defamatory tactics to gain publicity and has taken legal steps to protect her image.
Rupali's lawyer further added that Esha Verma's action has not only caused harm to her emotional state but also unfairly tarnished her personal and professional integrity. The lawyer was quoted as saying:
"These baseless allegations were clearly intended to harm Rupali Ganguly's reputation and capitalize on her public standing. Such actions have not only caused emotional distress but have also unfairly tarnished her personal and professional integrity.
Soon after this, Esha Verma made her Instagram account private. Not only this, according to reports, but she had also deleted all the posts wherein she had mentioned Rupali Ganguly's name and made allegations against her.
