Rupali Ganguly's private life suddenly came into the public domain after her step-daughter, Esha Verma, shared details about the ordeal she went through. For a week straight, Esha Verma, who is the daughter of Ashwin K Verma and his second wife, Sapna Verma. When things turned ugly, and Esha didn't stop giving interviews in Indian media, Rupali Ganguly filed a defamation case against her. Now, Esha reacted on the same after days of silence.
On December 12, 2024, Esha Verma took to her Instagram stories, and posted a short clip with a clear message. She added that people with power, wealth and fame disguise the truth and set bad examples. However, they can never erase the harm they have caused to others. In the same story, Esha shared that she believes Karma would balance all the wrong-doings. An excerpt from her note can be read as:
"Fame, money, and power may shield the truth for a time, but they can never erase the harm caused. Actions definie character, not appearance or words."
The 26-year-old, without naming her stepmother, Rupali, shared another clip with the message of what examples adults in a position are setting for the future generation with their selfish actions. A part of her long note, which also had Esha's signature, could be read as:
"What examples are we setting… especially adults in a position of influence – for children and future generations when selfish actions harm others for personal gains?"
In the last post, Esha shared a picture of a woman in a hilly area. Along with it, she clearly stated that it was a clear response to the recent comments. She further added that she believes in standing up for what's right and addressing the wrongdoings whenever they arise. She wrote:
"Yes this is a response to recent comments. I believe in standing up for what's right and addressing falsehoods when they arise. While I'm focused on moving forward I will always speak up when narratives are spun to mislead the others."
After a few weeks of her step-daughter, Esha Verma's shocking revelation, Rupali penned a cryptic note on her IG stories. In a way, she shared what happened in the past left a significant mark on her heart, body and soul. She re-shared a Reel, urging people to be kind, and not be the reason that someone skips their meal or hates waking up. The reel on her Instagram can be read as:
