Sabyasachi Bride Wore A Firoza Lehenga For Her D-Day And Great Grandma's Jewellery For Her 'Mehendi'

The pandemic might have changed the ‘big fat Indian weddings’ to an intimate affair, but it could not lessen the zeal in brides to look their best on their D-day. Gone are the days when bridal outfits meant laal suhaag ka joda, as nowadays, brides are stepping out of their comfort zone to make their wedding outfits a social media sensation. From choosing a pantsuit for their wedding day to wearing a white lehenga on their shaadi, brides are kicking the ball out of court to make a statement.

It looks like Sabyasachi Mukherjee has become everyone’s favourite right after he had dolled-up Anushka Sharma for her wedding. From Anushka Sharma’s pastel-hued floral lehenga to Katrina Kaif’s red and gold kiran lehenga, Sabyasachi has decked up many celebrity brides in the past few years. With so much to his credit, many non-celeb brides too have started vouching on him and it seems every bride’s favourite dialogue has become ‘Main shaadi karungi to Sabyasachi ka lehenga pehen kar hi karungi.’

Meet Our Bride Of The Day

Sabyasachi Bride In Firoza Lehenga

Our bride of the day is Aditi Mohan, who had mesmerised us with her bridal outfit from the house of Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Her bridal look was all about keeping it minimal and yet loud enough to get everyone’s attention. She had opted for a firoza-hued lehenga for her wedding with red and golden floral work on the kaalis of her skirt. The red floral designs were enhanced with golden sequined work and the kaalis were divided by booti work. Her lehenga had a broad border on the hemline which was a mix of multiple borders including a red velvet border in between with golden floral patchwork on it.

She had teamed her heavily embroidered skirt with a similar blouse which was inspired by Alia Bhatt’s Diwali puja look. Yes, she had worn a plunging neckline choli-cut half-back blouse, which had a multi-coloured thin border with golden work on it as piping. She had kept her look minimal with half-tied loose curled hair, kohl smudged eyes, and nude lipstick. She had accentuated her look with a multi-coloured stone neckpiece studded with white pearls, matching earrings and a maang teeka. She had also added multi-coloured cut-work bangles with two traditional kadas and a kundan ring.

For her mehendi, Aditi Mohan had looked gorgeous in a pink and white ensemble. However, more than anything it was her love for her family shown in her outfit that had caught our attention. For her mehendi rasam, Aditi was seen wearing a designer piece from Rhea Kapoor's shelves. She had worn a fuschia pink short kurta with floral zari embroidery over it, which she had teamed with white and gold silk pants. While she had kept her makeup minimal and hair tied in a messy pony, it was her dupatta and jewellery that had held a sentimental value for her. To complete her look, she had donned her mother’s wedding dupatta which was heavily embroidered with zari work and had a green border with kiran on it. She had accessorised her look with her great grandmother’s heirloom jewellery which included a kundan necklace with green pearls and matching drop earrings. She had also added a huge kundan and white pearl maang teeka to her look.
