One of the most sought-after designers, Sabyasachi Mukherjee needs no introduction. His designs have not only paved the way in the millions of hearts of brides worldwide but have also been seen in films, including Guzaarish, Raavan, English Vinglish and Baabul. For the unversed, Sabyasachi was born in a middle-class Bengali family, and got his first break when he won the Grand Winner Award at the Mercedes Benz New Asia Fashion Week. Since then, he has never looked back and is known for reading the bride-to-be's minds to design their dream wedding ensembles. However, his designs have also faced massive trolling time and again. Once again, as he launched his new saree collection, the model's expression caught the netizen's eyes.
On April 5, 2023, Sabyasachi Mukherjee's launched his latest designed sarees. In the pictures, the model was seen wearing an organza silk saree. It featured sleek zari embroidery with hand-cut sequins and vintage-washed stones. The saree also featured a broad red-hued border and golden frills attached at the hemline. In addition, the saree was paired with a matching printed and hand-embroidered red-hued silk blouse, and a red organza veil with hand-cut sequins.

Along with the gorgeous saree, the model wore Sabyasachi heritage jewellery. In one set of pictures, she was wearing a statement necklace paired with golden bangles. However, a section of netizens did not like the pictures, and trolled the designer for choosing a sad expression on the model's face. The netizens claimed the model was sad even after wearing his designer ensemble. Many netizens pointed out how his model looked 'unhappy', 'dukhi atma' or 'bimar dulhan' after donning the stunning saree. Check out the comments:

This is not the first time Sabyasachi's designs or branding has become the victim of trolling. Time and again, Mouni Roy's Sabyasachi lehenga for her Bengali wedding, Deepika's gothic-themed post-wedding party look channelling a 'Frida Kahlo on acid' look or Anushka's reception look wearing an orange-hued saree also catered Sabyasachi to a massive trolling. Also, when Sabyasachi announced his collaboration with the Swedish multinational clothing retailer, H&M on August 12, 2021, it had become a complete disappointment as the collection went out of stock within minutes of its launch. He also had to reveal how much he struggled to keep the stock and apologized for the same. The list doesn't end here, as when Sabyasachi launched his Heritage Bridal collection in 2023, the netizens called it monotonous and boring.
