Sai Pallavi is one of the most stunning actresses of her time. She made her acting debut with the Malayalam film, Premam in 2015. The actress was asked by the host of the show, VSN Murthy, "You became an actress just like everyone else. You might have wanted to become one or not, but you became one. How are you so different from the other actresses?" To this, while giving the reason behind her choice of not opting for any makeup products to hide her non-perfect skin, Sai Pallavi mentioned that, in reality, she actually doesn't know anything about this matter. Explaining how this separated her from other industry stars, she said:
"I don't know. If someone asks me about my makeup, I don't have any answer for that. I am just a normal girl. I have pimples on my face. I have my own insecurities. Once the audience accepted my first movie, I knew that the character is the most important aspect. How beautiful am I? How I dressed? How do I look? They liked Malar, the character has a lot more impact on the audience, when they like an actress. Even in real life, we can't judge others on their physical appearance. We can't define what beauty is, based on physical form. Inner beauty is what matters."

Further, Sai Pallavi was asked why she doesn't specifically dress up for functions. For the unversed, we have seen her wearing traditional sarees at various award shows, and by doing so, she has indeed maintained a certain standard. Moreover, when she used to showcase glamour in her movies, she also set a few limitations. Upon being asked about the same, she explained how her directors and audiences both felt she does better when she doesn't wear any makeup. Afterwards, sharing how she felt more liberated while acting in the film, Virataparvam, she added:
"After Premam, a few directors suggested that I should wear light makeup. After I tried putting on some makeup, they said that my acting is more evident in my normal appearance. My cheeks turn red when I am angry or shy. They said that, they like that. I normally use eyeliner in my films. I do that because it makes my eyes bigger. My eyes tend to become small with all the lights. But I didn't do that for this film. I just washed my face and showed up. This is the most liverating, I felt. I am just the way I look like at my home. But langavani in an extra addition. But other than that I felt so liberated while I was doing this film."
