Saif Ali Khan Opens Up On Daughter, Sara Ali Khan Being A Part Of The 'Love Aaj Kal' Sequel

A father is an ordinary man, who turns into a superhero with his children's love and kisses. While a son makes him stronger, a daughter makes him softer. We live in a world where it is quite normal for a son to follow his father's footstep. But it is a moment of pride for a father when his daughter follows his way. And Bollywood actor, Saif Ali Khan is feeling the same pride as his daughter, Sara Ali Khan has made her own name in the world of glam and glitz. (Recommend Read: Mohena Kumari Singh And Suyesh Rawat Lash Out At Troll Who Slammed Her For Keeping A Veil On Wedding)

Sara has been winning hearts with her amazing acting skills and the entire film industry praises her for her wit and bindaas attitude. That's the reason why producers have lined up to cast her in their films. Her charm and her honest opinions prove that she has inherited all of it from her father, Saif's side of genes. For those who don't know, Sara bonds with her dad not over a cup of coffee or filmy discussions, but on history and art museums around the world.

Almost a decade ago, Saif Ali Khan had played a romantic role in Imtiaz Ali’s film, Love Aaj Kal, and now, destiny has come full circle as his daughter, Sara Ali Khan is going to feature in the sequel of it. Recently, in an interview with the Mumbai Mirror, the actor commented on the same and said that it is a great achievement but he doesn't know how to feel about it. He shared that even he could have acted in the sequel as he just did the remix of his song, Ole Ole for Jawaani Jaaneman. He also wished his daughter luck and concluded on the note that time if flying fast. (Also Read: Nehha Pendse Kick-Started Her New Year With A Passionate Liplock With Fiance, Shardul Singh Bayas)

Coming back to the father-daughter bond, it is still same, despite the fact that Saif Ali Khan and his first wife, Amrita Singh had an ugly divorce. On the occasion of Father's Day, Sara had flipped through the old photo albums and had shared a series of pictures with her abba. Along with it, she had written, "Happy Fathers’ Day Abba. Thank you for always being here for me, for being my partner on nerdy holidays, for teaching me how to read, for showing me my first rain and snow, for teaching me how to eat spaghetti and all the while remaining patient, loving and compassionate! #likefatherlikedaughter #daddysgirl #mymainman #handsomestman #partnerincrime".

In one of the interactions with the Vogue magazine, Sara had talked about her father and had said, "He’s a lot like me—we’re both readers, we both like history, we’re both travellers. He is 25 years older than me, which isn’t a lot. I am right in between the age gap of Taimur (Saif and Kareena’s son) and my father."

Once in an interview with the Mid-Day, Sara had shared that her daddy, Saif doesn't like discussing films with her and had stated, "He looks at me like I'm a traitor for discussing films. He lives with Kareena [Kapoor], is a brother to Soha, and is an actor's son. So, now, if I discuss work, he's like, 'Please don't do this to me.' So, we don't talk about films often. We talk about history, argue about what Hitler's motivations were, or who was wrong in the Cold War. Sometimes, we discuss religion and how different beliefs and social systems came about. We both enjoy culture, traveling, good food, and great conversations."

Saif also equally appreciates his daughter's achievements and in an interview with Pinkvilla, Saif had shared that he was proud of her.  He had stated, "I’m so happy for her. This was her choice all the way. She chose this and made it happen. And I thought she was brilliant. A thinking actress who is expressive and inventive in every shot. I see a fantastic future for her. She is used to being good at what she loves, but I thank the people for welcoming her and giving her the acceptance that an actor needs." (Don't Miss: Amitabh Bachchan Posts A Picture With Grandchildren, Navya, Agastya And Aaradhya, Wishes New Year)
