Karan Johar was certainly right when he had said on his chat show, Koffee with Karan season 6, that more than any superstar, Taimur Ali Khan’s rate is higher; when little Tim’s papa, Saif Ali Khan and half-sister, Sara Ali Khan were guests on one of the episodes. Confused? Well, the context was the paparazzi culture and media’s obsession over Taimur Ali Khan and how much the photographers get paid. When Saif revealed that he was told that the shutterbugs apparently get paid 1500 rupees per photograph, Karan interjected and corrected Saif by saying that Taimur’s rate is higher, and that, there is a rate card for every celebrity. Taimur Ali Khan and the paparazzi, who are relentlessly stationed outside his house, have become inseparable in this digital world where social media has taken over our lives completely. And it’s not just outside his house, wherever Taimur goes, the media people follow him, so much so that recently while they were snapping Taimur Ali Khan, papa Saif Ali Khan had to address the same and he screamed, “Bas karo yaar, bachcha andha ho jaayega (Stop it, the child will go blind!)”
In fact, recently, police had to intervene outside Saif’s house and disperse the paparazzi crowd from the outside. Commenting on the same, Saif Ali Khan cleared to the Hindustan Times that someone had called the police and it wasn’t him. The Sacred Games star was quoted as saying, “Yes, the cops cleared the paparazzi because someone complained. Not me. I can’t say I feel kindly about their presence, because 10 people lounging about outside your house waiting for a shot of your kid is disturbing to say the least. I didn’t complain because I don’t want to deprive anyone of a job.”
We all know that Taimur Ali Khan is the one person who is giving the A-listers of Bollywood a run for their stardom and appearing on the Page 3s on a daily basis. And finally, abba Saif has requested the paparazzi through the media portal that he is just a child and they should not stalk him. Saif Ali Khan said, “Please don’t stalk Taimur. He is not a star. He is just a child.” (Don't Miss: Chhavi Mittal Reveals How People React On Her Working In Last Trimester, Pens Note On Hypnobirthing)
When the matter went out of hands a few days ago outside Saif’s house and the cops were called, it was reported that Saif himself had called the police. However, Saif Ali Khan later clarified the same to an online tabloid and shared, “I did not initiate any police complaint against the photographers. Kareena and I live in a respectable residential area and are a part of the larger community, thereby we do also have a responsibility to emotionally support our neighbours when they feel a disturbance to them is being caused and to be fair, their sentiments are understandable.”
Saif Ali Khan further commented that he understands that somewhere clicking his son, Taimur Ali Khan is the shutterbug’s livelihood and that his family have always maintained a cordial relationship with the paps. The Bazaar actor was quoted as saying, “We have always shared a very respectful relationship with the paparazzi. We understand that it’s their livelihood. However, it’s important to understand that kids should enjoy the basic right of growing up in a normal atmosphere out of and away from the constant media glare. I believe I am well within my right as a father to choose to not pose for the cameras when I have my son with me or to inform the photographers that the constant flashes can hurt his eyes. As media figures, we have to live with the attention and we accept that. But our kids shouldn’t be subjected to it.”
Saif Ali Khan had earlier shared his concern about the media’s obsession over Taimur. He had stated that he fears that Taimur will not be able to do his schooling in India, and hence he and Kareena Kapoor Khan have decided to send Taimur off to abroad for studies. Saif had revealed in an interview, “He has innocence in his eyes, there is nothing pretentious, but yes I am worried about him. I and Kareena have already discussed the stardom he already has around him and we have decided to send him to a nice boarding school in England. It will hopefully do the trick. It has done for everybody in the family. Kareena is going to be a very good mother. She will not be impressed if he is spoilt.”

Kareena Kapoor Khan has also, time and again, been vocal about the paparazzi culture when it concerns her son, Taimur Ali Khan. In fact, she often feels worried about her little munchkin’s normal upbringing that she and Saif so want to give him. Speaking along the similar lines, mommy Kareena had recently said, “Because what am I supposed to go screaming, what am I supposed to do. So it's like dangerous for us, the test is in us. The pressure is on Saif and me more than him. He is still growing up he is still small, he is registering that he's being clicked because they are calling his name. But the pressure is more on the parents because we are worrying constantly. It's up to us to give him a normal upbringing.” (Suggested Read: Sharad Malhotra And His Fiancée, Ripci Bhatia Were All 'Rock And Roll' At Their Sangeet Ceremony)
