“A father is his son’s first hero and his daughter’s first love.” Every boy dreams of following the footsteps of his father and make him proud. While a daughter thinks her father is the only man she can trust, a son feels his father is the hero he wants to become. While the two share an unspoken rapport, a son always quotes his father in his deeds. Their relationship is way beyond words and the love they have for each other is incomparable. Whenever Saif Ali Khan’s kids, Sara Ali Khan, Ibrahim Ali Khan and Taimur Ali Khan are clicked in a single frame, netizens couldn’t stop drooling over them and their striking resemblance. Saif shares a warm rapport with his kids and has always been a hands-on daddy. Whether it is guiding Sara on her choice of films, giving time to Ibrahim to figure out his interests or expressing his concerns over Taimur being papped everywhere, Saif is the perfect example of a doting father. Recently, the actor opened up about his boys following his footsteps.
Saif Ali Khan made an appearance in Jacqueline Fernandez and Amanda Cerny’s podcast where he talked at lengths about his family’s connection with art. He revealed that his mother, Sharmila Tagore was Satyajit Ray’s muse and started working at the age of 16. Continuing further, he also stated that he, his sister, his daughter, and his current and ex-wife too, are actors. Saif further stressed that his sons, Ibrahim Ali Khan and Taimur Ali Khan will also follow his footsteps and venture into acting. In his words, “My sister is kind of in the movies, my wife, my ex-wife as well... So all of us. My daughter, my elder son wants to be an actor, and I think Taimur will be an actor for sure, he’s entertaining us already.”
In an interview with the Mumbai Mirror, Saif Ali Khan had opened up about the speculations of him launching his son, Ibrahim Ali Khan and had stated, “I don’t know if I will launch him. It’s an option and films are certainly a viable career choice for him. He’s sporty and likes the idea of being in the movies rather than pursuing an academic job. No one in the family, with the exception of his sister (Sara Ali Khan), have been interested in the latter anyway.” When asked what would be the one advice that he would give Ibrahim if he wishes to make a career in Bollywood, Saif had retorted that he would ask him to be prepared and choose his films carefully. In another interview with Bollywood Hungama, Saif Ali Khan was asked about the expectations he has from his younger son, Taimur Ali Khan's future as he's already a national celebrity. On which, the doting father, Saif had clearly stated that he wants his son to become an actor in Bollywood. He had stated, "I hope he finds a nice job when he grows up. I hope he keeps it up on the Friday of his first release. I'd like him to be an actor." The actor had also added that according to him, Bollywood is the place to work as it had saved him from self-destruction when he was 17-18 years old and had no direction about his future.
