Bollywood veteran actress, Saira Banu's entire world has turned upside down after her husband and superstar, Dilip Kumar's demise in 2021. There have been numerous reports claiming that the late star's wife had gone into a shell after the death of her husband. For the unversed, Saira Banu and Dilip Kumar's love story is still fresh in the minds of the entire nation. They lived a beautiful life together, being each other's pillar of support.
However, not many know Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu had an age gap of 22 years, yet it never became a problem in their 'happily ever after'. The beautiful Saira Banu had always been a pillar of support in the life of Dilip Kumar and there was never a day when they had fought. While every girl was in love with the superstar, his heart was beating only for the love of his life, Saira.

Recently, in an interview with The Times of India, Saira Banu talked about life after the demise of her beloved husband, Dilip. She shared that she is in extreme distress and cannot get out of her husband's huge loss. The veteran actress also shared that she was living a happy life with him and everything was going fine with the two of them being together. She said:
"I was doing everything very happily too. Everything was so fine, just the two of us together. I loved sitting at home with Sahab. Anyway, I am not an outgoing person or a party person. Today, I don't want to step out."
Saira also revealed that she is not mingling with people nowadays. And she often spends her time with her close family and relatives. The actress further added that she keeps herself busy with meditations and prayers as it gives her relief.

Earlier, in October 2021, Saira Banu had revealed the emotional turmoil she was going through as she had celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary all alone without Dilip Kumar. She had said:
"This October 11 is the 56th wedding anniversary of my Love and Kohinoor Dilip Sahib. Dilip Sahib and I, when time stood still, and the sky was lit with a million happy sparkling stars, our wedding, the beginning of a sharing of a life of ecstatic togetherness and now no matter what, we still walk together hand-in-hand, in our thoughts and being until the end of time."
Dilip Kumar had taken his last breath on July 7, 2021, after suffering from a prolonged illness.
