Veteran actor, Saira Banu was one of the most loved actresses of the 1960s and early 1970s. The actress was lauded for her beauty and powerful on-screen performances. Saira was a part of the industry for a short 23 years. Still, in that period, she became a well-known name in the film industry and was a part of several Bollywood blockbuster films.
It was reported that Saira Banu was admitted to the hospital in October 2024 and recently diagnosed with Pneumonia. According to a report by Times Now Digital, the actress was admitted to the hospital after she was having difficulty moving around the house and suffered blood clots in her calves.
Now, in an interview with India Today Digital, the actress has shared the recent progress in the same regard. She told the publication that her health has significantly improved, and she is now focusing on recovery. Saira told the publication that the clots have also dissolved. She added that she would now focus on getting fitter and would also be getting herself into physiotherapy. She shared:
"I have improved a lot. The clots have dissolved. I have to get myself fitter and into physiotherapy. I am recuperating very well, and I am fine now."
Saira Banu has been on an all-time low emotionally since her husband and legendary actor, Dilip Kumar, passed away in 2021. The actress has since faced several health challenges. Which included limited mobility that started earlier in 2024. As fans were worried about the actress' health, her team has also confirmed that she is doing better now. They stated:
"She is fine now. All the above-mentioned things have happened before, but now she is much better."
Saira Banu's health significantly deteriorated after she lost the love of her life, the veteran actor Dilip Kumar, in 2021. Her love for her husband is evident on her social media accounts as well, as she has, on multiple occasions, reminisced about her time with her beloved husband. Even during her recent hospitalisation, the actress was able to find a connection with her late husband. The actress shared a heartwarming post on social media and shared:

Saira was one of the best actresses of her time. She was a force to reckon with and the finest of her craft. Her works left a mark in the history of Indian films, some of which included Bluff Master, Ayee Milan Ki Bela, Jhuk Gaya Aasman, Padosan, Victoria No. 203, Hera Pheri and Bairaag. The last time she graced the screen with her presence was with Ashok Kumar's Faisla.
