Indian cricketer, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has left the entire nation swooning over his long hair and killer game tactics. He has not only won hearts with his batting skills but also with his down to earth nature and calm mind. Over the years, he had gained unprecedented success and has taken the Indian cricket team to new heights. Dhoni is not just a name but an emotion in the cricket world. We still remember the summers of 2004, when a long-haired man had made his debut in International cricket under the captainship of Sourav Ganguly. However, the year 2020 came as a big shock, when MS Dhoni had announced his retirement on August 15 at 19:29 hours with a simple Instagram post and his favourite song, 'Main pal do pal ka shayar hoon.' He had left the entire nation teary-eyed. Soon, social media was abuzz with 'thank you' and 'miss you' notes.

On September 19, 2020, after 437 days, Dhoni finally marked his winning comeback on cricket field as he led Chennai Super Kings to a five-wicket victory over Mumbai Indians in Indian Premier League 2020. But more than his fans, it was his wife, Sakshi Dhoni, who was super excited to see her 'mister' back in action. Sakshi took to her Instagram stories and shared a glimpse of Dhoni's match. When Dhoni had announced his retirement, his wife, Sakshi had penned a lovely note for him. She had written, "You should be proud of what you have achieved. Congratulations on giving your best to the game. Congratulations on giving your best to the game. I am proud of your accomplishments and the person you are! I am sure you must have held those tears to say goodbye to your passion. Wishing you health, happiness and wonderful things ahead. People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Talking about MS Dhoni and Sakshi's love story, they both hail from Ranchi and were in the same school. However, before Cupid could strike them with his love arrow, Sakshi's family got shifted to Dehradun. But as we say, true love knows how to find its way and that's what happened. They had met again after a decade in Kolkata at Taj Bengal (where Sakshi was doing her internship), during Team India's stay in November-December 2007. Rest as we say, is history!
