It was the summer of 2004, when a long-haired man had made his debut in International cricket under the captainship of Sourav Ganguly, and had left the entire nation swooning over his gameplay and good looks. He was none other than Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who had changed the narratives of cricket in India. He had won millions of titles and had always made India proud. In his glorious career, he had played 350 matches with 10,773 runs and effecting 444 dismissals. However, on August 15, 2020, he had left the entire nation in shock when he had announced his retirement with a one-line post on his Instagram handle. He posted a video of his glorious journey and in simple words announced his retirement, "Thanks. Thanks a lot for your love and support throughout from. From 1929 hrs consider me as Retired."
Currently, MS Dhoni is in Dubai as he is leading Chennai Super Kings in Indian Premier League 2020. And looks like, his wife, Sakshi Dhoni is missing her dashing hubby. On September 22, 2020, Sakshi took to her Instagram handle and shared a picture of Dhoni interacting with the anchor. Check it out below:
When Dhoni had announced his retirement, his wife, Sakshi had penned a lovely note for him. She had written, "You should be proud of what you have achieved. Congratulations on giving your best to the game. Congratulations on giving your best to the game. I am proud of your accomplishments and the person you are! I am sure you must have held those tears to say goodbye to your passion. Wishing you health, happiness and wonderful things ahead. People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Earlier, in an interview with the Wisden magazine, Dhoni had shared that Sakshi holds third place in his life. He had said, "I love my country. I tell my wife she is only the third most important thing after my country and my parents, in that order. The point is that while I am an Indian cricketer I will devote myself to that cause. Cricket is not everything, not by any means, but it is a large part of who I am. Therefore, I want to play in all formats of the game and to play as much as possible because before long it will be over. Then I’ll focus more on the Army!"
