Bollywood superstar, Salman Khan is known for his dabbang personality. While the actor channels his rowdiness on camera and off it, there was a time when he was the king of romance. He has swooned many in the '90s with his films, Maine Pyaar Kiya, Hum Apke Hain Koun, Hum Saath Saath Hai, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and many more. However, during his glorious career, he has stuck to one rule of no kissing for the camera. However, not many know in 1996, Salman had broken his 'no kissing policy' for a film.
For those who don't know, Salman has always maintained a strict 'no-kiss police' throughout his career and refrained from performing intimate scenes with his co-stars, even with the ones with whom he was in a relationship (including Aishwarya Rai and Katrina Kaif). Recently, a Reddit user revealed how Salman broke this policy for a film in 1996 on the discussion platform.

The Redditor shared Salman's photo, wherein he shared an on-screen kiss with his co-star, Karisma Kapoor. The duo have often been paired opposite each other's in the hit '90s films including Jeet. The photo instantly sparked discussion amongst the netizens. Some even claimed that Karisma and Salman definitely shared a bond more than friends.
One user wrote, "They’re not actually kissing. He’s kissing the side of her chin. Her head is turned the other way." Another commented, "Weren’t they chewing the same gum in one of the songs? It was a bit much to take in lol." One of the users also claimed, "They were hooking up, Karishma was plotting against Aishwarya so Salman and Aish can break up. Karishma was into Salman, she used to drop at Salman’s place during odd hours. She even stayed somewhere close to Salman's house."
Salman Khan never wanted to break his kissing policy. In a media interaction, he had clearly stated that he is not breaking his rule for anyone. Salman quipped that maybe people will see a thick curtain between him and his heroine as he is never going to break his no-kissing policy on-screen. He also talked about his kiss with Disha Patani in the film, Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, while her lips were covered with tape. He said:
“No, no...maybe next time you will see a mota parda (thick curtain) in between me and the heroine but I am not breaking the no-kissing policy on-screen. Lekin iss picture mein ek kiss zaroor hai. Disha ke saath nahi hai. Tape par hai kiss. Tape par."
