Salman Khan is back with a bang on the set of Bigg Boss 18 for the Weekend Ka Vaar episode. This time around, he bashed all the contestants for their notorious behaviour in the house, but what took away the cake was his faceoff with Ashneer Grover. The entrepreneur made a special appearance on the show, and Salman Khan did not leave the chance to bash him for everything the former has said about him.
In the recent promo of Bigg Boss 18, Ashneer Grover stood next on the pedestal with Salman Khan. The actor bashed the Shark Tank fame for what he has told about the superstar in the media in the past few years. He called out Ashneer's doglapaan. The latter tried to defend himself and stated that it was his life's best decision to sign the act as his company's brand ambassador. Salman Khan added:

“Mere baare me kehte huye suna hai that you have signed me. Sab figures bhi aapne galat bataye. Toh phir yeh dogalapan kya hai? eh jo attitude ab hai, tab wahan nahi dikha tha."
However, Salman had none of it and said that his current attitude was better but very different from how he had behaved previously at events. Ashneer added that his words were twisted at the podcast, and he meant none of it.
A few months back, in Vaghera Vaghera podcast, Ashneer Grover got candid about his first meeting with Salman Khan. Ashneer revealed that when Salman was hired to shoot an advertisement with BharatPe, the businessman got to talk with him. That day, Ashneer had also spent more than 3 hours for the same. However, Salman refused to get clicked with him, and the actor's attitude irritated Ashneer a lot. He said:
“Usko humne sponsor rakha tha, uske shoot ke liye mila tha, usko brief karne ke liye company ke baare mein. Teen ghante baitha tha uske saath, uske manager ne bol diya photo nahi khichwani, sir thoda bura maan jaate hain. Maine bola nahi khichwaunga photo, bhaad mein jaa tu, aisi kaunsi heropanti hogayi.”
However, in the same conversation, Ashneer mentioned that Salman also cares a lot about his image. Elaborating on the same, Ashneer mentioned how Salman asked him to keep the plot of the advertisement in such a way that the actor looks larger-than-life. Explaining Salman's reason behind it, Ashneer added:

“But banda smart hai. Logon ko lagta hai ke hawa mein hai, banda genuinely smart hai, usko business samajhta hai, usko branding samajhti hai, usko apni image clear hai. Jab hum ad bana rahe the, usne clear bol diya tha ke mujhe larger than life hi dikhana kyunki maine picture banayi thi Tubelight, woh pit gayi kyunki mujhe usme mandbuddhi dikha diya. Mujhe laga sahi banda hai, yeh sab cheezon ki realisation hai."
In April 2022, while addressing students at the Lovely Professional University, Ashneer recalled the time when he had requested Salman to lower his fees. Elaborating on the incident, Ashneer mentioned that since at the beginning of his company, he had only Rs 100 crore in his pocket, and he had requested Salman for the same. Thus, listening to Ashneer's request, Salman charged them Rs 4.5 crores instead of Rs. 7.5 crores. Ashneer was quoted as saying:
"I decided to get Salman Khan as brand ambassador in 2019. Nobody could even think about it at that point. I was a small company, and I had to generate trust overnight for my business. So I thought I should take Salman as my brand ambassador. When I approached Salman’s team, they told me that they will charge Rs. 7.5 crores, which is when I started calculating as I had Rs. 100 crore on me. I will give him Rs. 7.5 crore, spend another Rs. 1-2 on making the advertisement, and then I have to pay broadcasters as well. It's going to be a Rs. 20 crore expense and I have only Rs. 100 crore in my pocket, with no certainty if I would get another round of investment. So I asked Salman to decrease his price, and he agreed to do it for Rs. 4.5 crore."
