Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya have moved on in their respective lives. While Naga Chaitanya re-started his life by giving love another chance, Samantha is working hard and establishing new highs in her career. It's been quite a time since their separation, but fans' interest in knowing what went wrong has not yet ended. During a promotional event, Samantha dropped a shocking hint.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu was seen promoting her film with Varun Dhawan. During a promotional event, an interviewer asked Samantha if she had ever thought of or played the role of a spy in her real life. Samantha stated she had played a role in the show but not in real life, as she didn't have the traits. When the interviewer repeated her question, Samantha smirked and said:
"Thinking back, I should have."

Samantha was madly-in-love with Naga Chaitanya, so much so, that she got herself inked to stay close to the love of her life. The first tattoo she got was 'YMC', which was the initials of her first film, Ye Maaya Chesave, on her back. It featured Naga Chaitanya and their love story, which started on its sets.
The second tattoo Samantha got was on the right side of her ribs; it featured the words 'Chay' written in cursive. The third tattoo was on Samantha's right wrist. It was a symbol of two upward arrows, and Chay has a similar tattoo on his right wrist as well.

Naga Chaitanya and Samantha's love story ended on a sad note. It was just four days before their fourth wedding anniversary when Samantha and Naga Chaitanya announced their divorce. She accepted the rumours that were making rounds and added that they had decided to part ways as husband and wife. Her note also stated that they had friendship for over a decade, which was the core of their relationship. The note could be read as:
"To all our well-wishers. After much deliberation and thought Chay and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us."
In 2022, Samantha's late father, Joseph Prabhu, had taken to his Facebook account and posted a series of photos from his daughter's wedding. Along with it, Samantha's late father shared how there once was a story which doesn't exist anymore.
Samantha's late father accepted that it took him a lot of time to come to terms with her separation. But life is too short to sit down with the ghosts of the past. His post, which has now been removed, was a way for him to accept his feelings. He concluded the note by writing:
"Thanks for all your feelings. Yes, I sat down for a long time to overcome emotions. Life is too short to sit down with feelings and get bogged down."
