Samantha Ruth Prabhu was once madly in love with Naga Chaitanya. The duo was married for four years but ended their marriage on an ugly note. Samantha and Chay's separation came as a shock to their massive fanbase. Samantha used to talk highly of Chaitanya, and they were once hailed as the 'IT' couple of Tollywood. The ex-couple dated each other for eight years before tying the knot.
Back in 2019, Naga Chaitanya and his ex-wife, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, appeared on Lakshmi Manchu’s chat show, Feet Up With The Stars (Telugu). During the same, Samantha made some big revelations and even called her then-husband, Naga Chaitanya, ‘husband material’. She shared:

“Chay has seen me from nothing. I remember I didn’t have money to make a call to my mother from the US. I took his phone and made a call home. Chay has seen me from that to this, so how can it be anybody else, right?”
Then, the host, Lakshmi Manchu, asked Samantha about the three things that changed in her bedroom after her marriage to Naga Chaitanya. To this, Samantha hilariously revealed that Naga loves his pillow more than anything, and it feels like he is married to his pillow. She added:
''Chay is married to his pillow. Even if I have to hug him, the pillow is always between us. He is going to kill me if I say more. I think I have said enough.”
Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya were once hailed as the most adored couples in Tollywood. They shared the screen in the 2010 hit movie, Ye Maaya Chesave, and started dating each other shortly after. Samantha and Chaitanya tied the knot in 2017. However, they ended their four-year marriage in 2021 and announced their divorce. Soon after that, Naga started dating Sobhita Dhulipala but kept their relationship under wraps. For the unversed, Chay and Sobhita got engaged on August 8, 2024.
