Samay Raina is hands-down one of the most popular comedians in the country. With a massive fanbase of 3.3 million followers on Instagram and 4.02 million subscribers on YouTube. He was already popular among youngsters on social media, but his popularity skyrocketed after he started playing chess online. For the uninitiated, Samay started streaming chess games along with his friends from the influencer community and renowned chess masters. Back in 2021, Raina won a 10,000 USD Botez Bullet Invitational tournament, which was sponsored by Chess.com.
Samay Raina was also the first Indian streamer to compete among some of the most popular Twitch streamers, earning around 4,000 USD. He received a massive boost on his YouTube channel when Antonio Radic, Vidit Gujrathi, Pentala Harikrishna, Judit Polgar, Vladimir Kramnik, and many more joined him to play chess together. Apart from playing chess, he is also the joint winner of Comicstaan 2 with Aakash Gupta.
Apart from being a brilliant chess player, who has received acknowledgement from Viswanathan Anand, Tania Sachdev, Sagar Shah, and many more, Samay Raina is a leading name in India's stand-up comedy space. After doing a series of stand-ups for many years, he finally started his show, India's Got Latent, which has written a whole new success story for him. Courtesy of his dark humour, Samay is hailed as the 'King of Dark Jokes' in India by youngsters who are in love with his black comedy.
Time and again, we have seen his dark jokes taking over the internet and creating a meme fest online. From YouTube streaming to his live shows, he never fails to mesmerise the audience with his spontaneity and dark humour. Coming back to his hit YouTube show, India's Got Latent, Samay has invited many renowned celebrities and internet personalities, including Anurag Kashyap, Raftaar, Uorfi Javed, Rakhi Sawant, Naman Arora, Poonam Pandey, and many more. So far, we have nine episodes released of India's Got Latent on YouTube, and their total number of views is more than the mark of 1 billion views on YouTube.
Famous comedian, Samay Raina was born in Jammu and belongs to a conservative Kashmiri Pandit family. According to multiple reports, after completing his education in Hyderabad, Samay went to Maharashtra and pursued a print engineering course at Vidhyarthi Griha in Pune. It was in 2017 when Samay participated in an open mic and placed second out of more than 100 contestants. It was the moment when he decided to transform his interest in comedy into his full-time profession.

Popular internet personality, Kusha Kapila appeared on the first season of Pretty Good Roast Show, where Samay Raina and many comics roasted the actress. However, it was Samay's particular dig that created a huge controversy on the internet as the former took severe dig at her personal life.
From targetting Kusha Kapila's divorce with her ex-husband, Zorawar Ahluwalia, to making jokes about her sexuality and their sex life, Samay didn't hold any horses. After the episode went viral and people started sympathising with Kusha, the latter labelled Samay's roast as 'dehumanising'. Not only this, Kusha has also blocked Samay on Instagram, and the two are not reportedly on talking terms.
According to multiple reports and some of Samay Raina's recent interviews, the comedian isn't in a relationship with anyone. Despite being exceptionally popular across India, he isn't dating anyone. However, some time ago, there were rumours that Samay was reportedly in a relationship with Sahiba Bali. For the uninitiated, Sahiba is a famous actress, who has worked in popular films like Dear Maya, Jiya Jaye, Laila Majnu, Bard Of Blood, and Amar Singh Chamkila.
Samay Raina and Sahiba Bali's dating rumours kick-started when the duo were seen in a series of hilarious YouTube videos. Samay and Sahiba became a popular duo in the meme culture as the former's dark jokes and the latter's reactions went viral on social media. Not only this, but they also looked cute and quite comfortable in each other's company. However, none of them had addressed their dating reports, which is why it's difficult to say anything as of now. We hope Samay Raina continues to achieve much more in his career in the future.
