Samay Raina, Who Roasted Kusha Kapila On Divorce With Zorawar, Says: 'Yeh Mera Zone Of Comedy Hai..'

Samay Raina is a comedian, who is known for his dark jokes. While he has not accepted that his comedy comes in the dark genre, his roast on Kusha Kapila's divorce has gone viral. The influencer-turned-actress is still in shock with the whole roast, which revolved around her divorce from Zorawar. Kusha also revealed that she had no idea that the jokes would target her personal life. Now, Samay Raina shared that it is his zone of comedy and he is still learning.

Samay Raina talked about his comedy and how he is still learning 

Recently, Samay Raina shared his story on a podcast, Prakhar Ke Pravachan. The comedian clearly stated that it is his zone of comedy. He added that he is still learning in the process, and there have been times when he had offended some people without naming them. He added that he is trying to be better and he writes his script from his experience. He said:

"Yeh mera zone of comedy hai bhai. Ab mai galtiya bhi karta hoon usme ek do baar hua hai people have felt offended by my jokes. Jaise abortion ka hua tha. In that everytime I learn from it and I am trying to be better. I am not perfect. Nobody is, mai bas seekhta hoon or better karta hoon. Apna material likhta hoon karta hoon try, logo ko pusund aata hai, pyaar dete hai. Jab tk chal raha hai paisa kamao, jindagi chal rahi hai."

When Kusha Kapila revealed she had no idea that the jokes would be personal

Kusha Kapila was deeply hurt after Samay Raina's roast. She tried her best to ignore it, but people started claiming that she got paid to hear her insults. Kusha dismissed the rumours and revealed that it was done in good faith and for a friend. However, she regrets that she didn't ask for a script. She also revealed that he was the first episode, which is why they marked the boundaries, especially with the female guest. She wrote:

"Friends, a recent roast I was a part of has led a lot of my female and queer followers to question why did I sit through something that could have been completely avoided and WITH GOOD REASON. here’s my two cents, it was done in good faith and for a friend. Nobody has been paid (neither comics nor guests) for it. So the argument that people are “being paid big fat cheques to hear their insults” is baseless."

Kusha further added that if she had not let the episode go live, people would call her a crybaby and a coward. She called it a learning experience, and she was even ruthlessly told that she deserved these and that, as a divorced woman, she should have seen this coming. Kusha further clarified that she chose to keep silent about the matter as she was choosing her mental peace. 

Kusha 'begged' them to censor Samay Raina's jokes on her

Kusha also revealed that she has been part of various calls and negotiations for every word, every joke and every slur. She has literally begged them to censor Samay's roast as it was too personal. Imagine, it is just a year of Kusha's separation from Zorawar, and she has been roasted for the same. She said:

"Last six months since the episode was shot, I have been a part of various calls and negotiations for every word, every joke, every slur (literal begging has happened). If I hadn’t let the episode go live, I would have been called a coward and a crybaby and a different kind of trolling would have ensued."
