Sameera Reddy is known for her exceptional acting skills in films like Maine Dil Tujhko Diya, Race, Vedi, Musafir, De Dana Dan and more. However, leaving behind her acting career, Sameera has now become a social media influencer. And she constantly shares videos talking about issues related to women's pregnancy, postpartum depression, weight gain, and more. For the unversed, she is married to the love of her life, Akshai Varde, and together they are blessed with two beautiful kids, Hans and Nyra. Now, Sameera Reddy revealed an incident when her daughter, Nyra had rolled off the bed at the mere age of 9 months and what happened following this.
During a candid conversation with Dr Nihar Parekh for his podcast channel, Sameera Reddy opened up about the scariest incident related to her baby girl, Nyra. She revealed that Nyra was only 9 months old when she rolled off the bed, and till today, the incident used to give her goosebumps. Sameera recalled that when she found out about Nyra's fall, the doting mommy had started crying hysterically. She elaborated:
"First time admitting this on social media. Nothing happened when I had Hans, I was this paranoid mother and I expected to be there when I had Nyra but when Nyra was nine months old, she rolled of the bed.And she fell hard, I can't tell you but literally I'm getting my skin is like I started crying hysterically because she was crying hysterically and then Hans was crying hysterically because he thought that he sort of got her to fall and I think I'll never know where she hit him whether she hit ger head or her arm but my God the baby of that size falling off a bed you known the guilt."

Further, Sameera talked about how she felt scared that something has happened to her baby girl and went through a severe guilt. Due to this, the former actress had also dialled the doctor at 3 in the morning and could not stop crying. Afterwards, somehow it was her doctor, who calmed her down and asked the questions step by step to suggest proper medical help for the kid. She added:
"Doc!! I'm still like I'm still shaking because I went crazy I think at that moment I thought this is it!! She wouldn't stop crying. I thought she is going to have something for the rest of her life I have ruined the situation. I am a bad mother. I called you at 3 in the morning."
In the same conversation, Sameera revealed that it was the scariest incident in her life since she felt a tremendous amount of society's expectations on her shoulders at that moment. Moreover, the incident gave such fear to her that she used to keep checking whether her babies' were breathing or not. Elaborating on the immense pressure of society, Sameera explained:

"It was scary because people forget that as a new mother my God there's this little living thing you know we forget about it's a miracle of life and have this little thing who's depending on you for breast milk you know to take care of this life it is a huge responsibility and that's why when mothers are expected to just snap back look good know it all you know this sort of this new mom who has it together I always sat we don't have it together correct because the pressure is immense, the hormones that kick in, the social expectation of a snap back and then you this little baby looking at you and you have to burp and you have to figure out. How many times doctor I've gone to the baby and check are they breathing."

Sameera is one such celebrity mother, who never shied away from opening up about certain issues related to women. Earlier, in an interview with the popular magazine, Cosmopolitan India, Sameera had opened up about body image issues post her pregnancy. She shared her struggles with her body and how she lost weight to look the way society wanted her to. Sameera even mentioned that she started feeling insecure about her body after her pregnancy. Sameera even opened up about how her body changed after giving birth to her kids. Talking about the importance of loving yourself, she mentioned that self-worth is the most important thing in life.
