Be it Sushmita Sen, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Neha Dhupia to Chhavi Mittal, celebs moms don’t shy away from giving an insight into their motherhood journey! Maine Dil Tujhko Diya fame, Sameera Reddy had experienced motherhood with the arrival of her baby boy, Hans Varde in 2015 and four years later, her family was completed when she was blessed with a baby girl, Nyra Varde. Sameera keeps on inspiring mommies-to-be and newbie mothers with her motivational posts and experiences through interviews and social media handle. Planning a second child is a decision that is concerning for the couple as there are a lot of factors that come into the picture before considering the same. Sameera spoke about the same in a post on her social media handle.
On October 8, 2020, Sameera Reddy posted a picture with her adorable son, Hans Varde and answering the most-asked question, “How do you know you want a second child?”, she wrote in her caption, “How do you know you want a second child? I get asked this a lot. I’d like moms to share their experiences in the comments below. I find it hard to answer this because I believe everyone has their own experience and situation that can make this decision a very personal one. I always knew I wanted two kids. I’m working hard on their relationship in their formative years hoping they have a solid friendship and bond for life. The best way to gauge if I was ready was to just ask myself if I had the courage to do this all over again, the pregnancy ,sleepless nights ,weight gain, etc. I did suffer PPD the first time round but I was better equipped after Nyra. I was happy to redo it all over again.” (Also Read: Twinkle Khanna Shares Cute Pictures With Aarav And Nitara, Talks About Struggles Of Being A Mom)
Asking women to not get pressurised while taking the decision of having a second child and how she was ‘totally unprepared and too caught up’ with her emotions during her first pregnancy, Sameera Reddy continued, “In fact, I felt I didn’t enjoy the whole process the last time because I was totally unprepared and too caught up with my emotions which Is why maybe today, I talk about it often hoping women will enjoy the process and not get pulled down by it. What about the love? It naturally just splits between them and it’s a balancing act with many moments of meltdowns on all sides but we get through it. I also really feel it takes a lot more work on time with your partner and for yourself. It’s easy to get lost but we all find our way. I know many families that are happy with just one or even no kids. Whatever you choose it’s awesome either way. I would say don’t get pressurised by anyone because it’s your decision. Your take on your life and how you choose to see it is what makes the journey a unique one. Nothing is easy but nothing is difficult either #motherhood #momlife #messymama #letsgetreal.”
At KSP (Kidsstoppress) Awards 2019, Sameera Reddy had spoken about her campaign #ImperfectlyPerfect and how she was body-shamed as a child but was the 'IT Girl' when she became an actress. Sharing her experience of dealing with fat-shaming, gaining 105 kilos, post-partum blues and why is it so important for her to address this issue of painting a realistic picture of what pregnancy and post-pregnancy feel like to all the women out there, Sameera had made everyone teary-eyed with her experience. Sameera had even revealed that after giving birth to her firstborn, Hans Varde, she had felt ‘completely disconnected’ and had given the little one to her husband, Akshai Varde to hold him.
