It is said that the journey of being a mother, teaches women a lot of new experiences and gives her the courage to be her undisputed self. After all, it is not easy to be a mom and sometimes a working mom in a man's world. And Bollywood actress, Sameera Reddy is a perfect version of her unabashed and raw self. Sameera's first pregnancy helped her a lot, but it is her second pregnancy that made her believe in her true self. Guess what? A day before delivering her baby girl, the actress had shared an 'imperfectly perfect' video, wherein, she had flaunted her no makeup look. But the best was her underwater maternity shoot and she aced her every pose. She became a source of inspiration for all the soon-to-be-mommies that they can be the best version of themselves while carrying God's wonder.
Sameera made headlines for another reason when she gave a statement, wherein, she had stated that the 'industry abandoned her'. Recently, in an interview, Sameera shared another version of the story, and said, "I would like to rephrase that (the statement), it is rude to say that they abandoned me. I will take my statement back and say that in fact, I abandoned them." (Also Read: Manish Naggdev Reveals If He Will Ever Be In A Relationship After Bitter Breakup With Srishty Rode)
In the same interaction, she also revealed that her husband, Akshai is very shy and he had thought her to be Lara Dutta when they had first met. In Sameera's words, "I feel somewhere there were two things that happened; firstly, I couldn't keep up with the lifestyle, parties, we all know how it is here. One whole group and people hanging in there and chaato that group only. It is a game. There are few people who have been still there for me like Shilpa Shetty and family, who still call and inquire. Others vanished but now everyone is back, now I am invited everywhere (laughs). I just don't go, I don't have the bandwidth for it. Plus I have the shiest husband and when I met him, he thought I was Lara Dutta."
Sameera has not only making heads turn with her words, but also with her body-transformation. In an Instagram post, she had opened up about her weight loss journey after her first pregnancy. Her post could be read as, "I touched 102 Kgs in May 2015, the month Hans was born and I'm not scared to admit it. It took me to the deepest darkest places in my head. My confidence shattered. And I couldn't lose the weight for a year after because I was too scared to even step out. I disappeared because I didn't have the strength to be judged by the world after all the years of being glam and fit on screen. But the beautiful part is that you can only hit your lowest low to know you can absolutely climb out of that hole. It's a fight. A hard one."

She had further written, "Took me 2 years more to lose the weight and to step out and face the world again but I wish I had the courage then. I did it naturally with no fad diets, no easy way out. Only with a dedicated workout, yoga, pilates and strength training. It's important for me to post this now because I need women to know the struggle is real. The mood swings, hormonal changes and losing your body shape can mess with your mind. It's a superficial world and people can be hurtful if you don't keep up. But the key is to be fearless. Only you can get out of that rut. It's yours to change. Be brave. You can move mountains if you just will it."
In an interview with SpotboyE, Sameera had talked about her first pregnancy and how she used to hide all the weight. She had shared, "In my first pregnancy, I was very shy and thought about a lot of things but now I feel it's very different. I remember I used to cover up a lot during the first pregnancy now I'm like bring it on. I can also be hot when I'm pregnant. So it's just a matter of mindset."
In another interview with the IANS, Sameera had shared she was close to 102 kilos after the birth of her son and it took a toll on her. She had shared, "From being that 's**y Sam', I went to this. I put on 32 kg up to and couldn't recognise myself. I was a complete mess. I would leave the house and they said, 'Is this Sameera Reddy? What happened to her?' That pushed me into a further hole. Everyone knew I was feeling depressed, but I was a good mother."
She had further stated, "To top it all, I got this auto ailment called Alopecia areata, which made me lose patches of my hair after almost six months of giving birth. But it did not have anything to do with my pregnancy. I worked very hard. I got help in terms of therapy and understood that I was lost and confused as a person. What I was as an actor and where I am today as a mother and a wife." (Don't Miss: Ranveer Singh Reveals The First Thing He Does After Coming Back From Trip To Wife, Deepika Padukone)
