Samir Soni Recalls His Love Story With Wife, Neelam, Shares Tarot Reader Predicted Their Union

Samir Soni has been a well-known TV and film actor. He began his career as a television actor and soon ventured into films and direction. The actor married former actress, Neelam Kothari in 2011. The couple is the parents of a daughter, Ahana. Recently, Samir sat down for an interview with Ujjawal Tridevi on his YouTube channel and shared some insights about his love story with his wife, Neelam Kothari.

Samir Soni shares that he was elated to get a compliment from Neelam when they initially met

Samir Soni shared that he first met Neelam Kothari with her friend and producer, Ektaa Kapoor. During their first meeting, Neelam found him to be 'cute.' However, she didn't say this directly to Samir. Instead, she shared it with her friend, and the word was passed on to other friends. So, Samir learned about this through someone else and was delighted to receive a compliment from the former actress. He was quoted as saying:

"I felt good, but that was it."

Samir reveals that a tarot reader predicted their union

Samir went on to reveal that shortly after he met with Neelam, he met a tarot reader. Interestingly, the tarot reader predicted his union with someone whose name would begin with the alphabet 'N.' Also, the tarot reader shared that the girl would work in the jewellery industry. Samir felt that these predictions were similar to Neelam. He even doubted if Neelam paid the tarot reader because there were too many coincidences. In his words:

"I met someone who was a tarot card reader. I don't know if she paid him. That person told me that there will be a woman in my life whose name starts with an N and she would be working in jewellery."

Despite the prediction, Neelam and Samir didn't begin to talk by then. Samir's friends often said that Neelam was out of his league. For the unversed, Neelam Kothari was one of the most popular Bollywood actresses in the 80s and 90s. However, Ektaa Kapoor again introduced the couple at a Diwali party where they exchanged numbers.

Samir Soni recalled that they both looked for potential spouses in each other

Despite exchanging numbers and meeting several times, Samir and Neelam didn't begin a proper conversation for three years. So, Samir took a step and called her at 3 am but she didn't picked the call. So, the next morning he texted her in ego writing "You don’t believe in returning calls?" and Neelam replied ‘How do I know it is you?'” At that stage, they both were looking for a potential partner in each other. The couple dated for a while and finally tied the knot in 2011. They are parents to a daughter, Ahana.
