Although the actor has appeared only in a handful of TV shows, the characters that he has played in them are unforgettable. He moved to his hometown in Ujjain during the lockdown, where he’s staying with his wife, Shraddha Anand, and son, Kiaan Anand. On the other hand, there is a lot of news hovering around the internet with regards to their marriage and divorce rumours.
In a conversation with The Times of India, Sandeep Anand clarifies that the couple has reunited after a quick separation. In his interview, he mentioned, “I’m surprised when people ask me how life is after divorce! Who said I’m single? My wife Shraddha, who is a COVID frontline worker, and I are very much together. I’m also getting to spend quality time with my four-year-old son in the lockdown.”
Adding to this, the actor said, “There were issues and we did live separately for a while. While Shraddha was living with her parents, I was living with my family. We chose to do it only to take a step back, introspect and work on our relationship. Now we are back together. I had never filed for a divorce and don't know why such rumours were making headlines. It affected my personal and professional life.” With his interview, he cleared the air about all the confusion that is created among people on rumours of his separation with Shraddha Anand. He seemed to be disappointed with the self-made rumours, that were not facts. With Sandeep spending his lockdown with his family, people have started to believe that all is good with him and his relationship.

Talking about his work, as mentioned above, the actor is not active with his telly shows, for which Sandeep was questioned. When they asked him about what is keeping him away from television and whether he’s decided to quit doing TV shows, he said, “I wanted to do something different after May I Come In Madam? show. I’m not staying away from TV willingly, but nobody is offering me good content or good money. Main television de door nahin gaya, television mujhse door chala gaya. We all want to grow as artistes in our career and after having worked on TV for 13 year years, I want to take up shows that are better than what I had been doing in the past and offer me more money than I've already been earning.”
When asked further whether he left TV for films, the actor retorted, “Films reach a wider audience and there’s no actor who would deny that he wants to explore that medium someday. Having said that, I never said I left television for films. There was only one instance when I had to say no to a film offer because I was bound by a contract with a show for a duration of 8 years. You can’t take on two projects and work on them simultaneously unless those two projects are of the same production house. Apart from the limitation of time, your creativity is also affected because there’s only so much you can do in a day. That’s why when I did TV, I only signed up for one show at a time. I did comedy and there were so many shades and layers to the character I played, so I was satisfied as an actor.”
