Motherhood- it is not just a term, but a blessing! Everything so tiny about a newborn baby often makes us wonder in amazement about the way God created life on this planet! A soul so pure and innocent, who doesn’t love babies? Imagine a little life, who has just started walking and talking, running to you when you get back home. Someone, who’s gibberish language makes no sense, but we can keep on listening to it endlessly. Isn’t it? Sania Mirza too is soon going to embrace this stage as her baby boy, Izhaan Mirza Malik is growing faster than we can imagine! In 2018, Shoaib Malik and his star wife, Sania Mirza announced the news of their pregnancy in their own unique way. Speaking about the same in a 2018 interview with Gulf News, the star cricketer was quoted as saying, “We discussed this in the beginning and we both came up with it together. It’s not a move, but a statement. My family history and my family name comes with a lot of honour, which I celebrate with pride. It should be the same for Sania. Being a husband or a wife or a mother or a father should not change that for either. Having a shared surname is in line with how we went about when we got married: Sania Mirza remained Sania Mirza and was not changed to Sania Malik.” Here is the picture that they had shared to announce that a baby Mirza Malik is on its way.
It was on October 30, 2018, when baby Izhaan Mirza Malik saw the light of the day and we couldn’t be happier! Izhaan’s star mommy, Sania Mirza Malik often takes to Instagram to share glimpses of their mommy-son life with her fans. But to beat all blues on a Monday morning, Sania took to Instagram and posted a mesmerising black and white picture, where they are both gazing at the camera. Posting the picture, Sania wrote, “My boy. Thank you @avigowariker for capturing the most beautiful picture .. now you have become my forever and ever fav #PostPackupshot.”
Five days after Izhaan Mirza Malik was born, his superstar mommy had shared two adorable pictures, one was of 5-day-old Izhaan watching a cricket match played by his daddy Shoaib, and the other was of three pairs of white sports shoes. Sharing the pictures, the newbie mommy wrote, “So it’s been 5 days since we came into this world. Me as a mother and my little Izhaan as my son. We’ve even watched Baba play some cricket together since we’ve arrived it truly is the biggest match, tournament achievement I’ve ever won or had and there is no feeling or blessing that can be greater than this.. I finally have gotten sometime after this overwhelming feeling to get online and check the messages and love we have received. Shoaib and I feel truly blessed and humbled with the wishes and love that us as parents and Izhaan have received. Thank you to each and every one of you ..we love you right back! Love Sania, Shoaib and Izhaan @realshoaibmalik #Allhamdulillah.” Here are the pictures:

What are the values that Sania Mirza would like to inculcate in Izhaan Mirza Malik? In a July 2018 interview with Gulf News, Sania had shared, “In today’s age and time, it is extremely important to be independent. I am not talking about adults, but children as well. I see that in today’s kids where they are confident and have no qualms about coming and talking to me. I can’t remember ever doing that because I was a shy child. I want my child to be self-confident, self-sufficient and independent. While my child will be my number one priority, that does not mean I have to spend every single minute of the day with them to make them a good person or to parent them.”
In the same interaction, Sania Mirza had also spoken about the cross-cultural relationship that Izhaan Mirza Malik will grow up with, “I don’t think that it matters which country they belong to or what colour or what religion they belong to. They need to understand that we are all human beings. Being a good person is much higher than anything else in the world."
