Sanjay Dutt is one of the most talented actors in Bollywood. The actor never shies away from winning the hearts of his fans courtesy of his charming personality and acting talents. Son of the legendary late actors, Sunil Dutt and Nargis, Sanjay made his acting debut in the year 1981 with the movie, Rocky. But the actor's whole world turned upside down when his mother passed away in the same year. After his mom's demise, Sanjay got addicted to drugs, and it was his father who stood beside him and helped him fight his demons. Recently, Sanju Baba graced a show and shared an unheard anecdote about his mom.
Sanjay Dutt recently graced the singing show, Indian Idol 14. While being there, the host, Shreya Ghosal asked him about his parents, and the actor gave an emotional reply. Sanjay said that we tend to take our parents for granted as we feel they are always with us. Sanjay can be quoted as saying:
"We take our parents for granted. We feel, ‘Mummy papa hain aur humesha rahenge."

Talking more about the same, Sanjay walked down memory lane and revealed how his mom used to tell him to sit with her and spend time with her, which the actor now remembers. In the same show, Sanjay Dutt revealed how his mom used to tell him that he would feel bad if she was gone. Regretting the fact that he didn't spend enough time with his mom, Sanjay said:
"My mother said something to me, which I remember now. She used to say, ‘Sanjay mere saath baith, mere saath time guzaar'. Because when I am gone, you will feel very bad. Now, I feel had I listened to her and would have spent a few hours with her during the day, I would not have this feeling.”
There's no second thought about the fact that Sanjay Dutt had a special connection with his mom, Nargis. In his biopic and Rajkumar Hirani's movie, Sanju, the same had been portrayed beautifully. However, Sanjay, once at an event, talked about his mom and heaped praises on her for the sacrifices that she made for her kids. Sanjay said that his mom left her career at its peak to care for him and his two sisters, Namrata Dutt and Priya Dutt. The actor also added how he and his sisters often recall their mom, who left them at quite an early age. At the same event, Sanjay also stated that one should never take their parents for granted, thinking they are always by their children's side.

In an old interview, Sanjay Dutt shared that after his mom's demise, he didn't shed a tear and even didn't feel any emotion. The actor also stated that two years after his mom's death, one of his friends played an audio tape consisting of Nargis' voice, wherein she advised her son to do great things in life, be humble, and more. Sanjay revealed that after hearing his mom's voice, something happened, and he cried for at least 4-5 hours on that day. Talking more about the same, the actor shared that he took out everything that was inside him, and it changed him entirely for once and all.
