It's raining good news at ace director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's family, as his niece, Sharmin Segal, is going to get married soon. For the unversed, Sharmin is an exceptional actress, who impressed the audience with her stint in the Netflix series, Heeramandi, which also stars Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha and Sanjeeda Shaikh. Before this, she also featured in the film, Atithi Bhooto Bhava (2022), opposite Pratik Gandhi.
Sharmin Segal, who made her Bollywood debut with the film, Malaal, in 2019, went on to foray into digital entertainment with her filmmaker-uncle, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's web series, Heeramandi. Well, it looks like while Sharmin is riding high on the professional front, this year is going to be super special for her on the personal front. If sources are to be believed, then Sharmin, daughter of editor, Bela Segal, is all set to tie the knot by the end of the year 2023.

A report in Mid-Day stated that Sanjay Leela Bhansali's niece, Sharmin Segal, got engaged to a diamond merchant earlier this year. The lavish ceremony took place in Ahmedabad, and now the duo will have an arranged marriage in Italy by the end of 2023. Adding that Sharmin's wedding is going to be a grand affair, the source stated:
"The engagement took place in Ahmedabad. It is an arranged marriage. The couple will have a destination wedding in Italy by the end of 2023. The shaadi will be a grand affair, and preparations are going on in full swing."
Earlier in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Sharmin Segal was asked about her experience of being related to Sanjay Leela Bhansali as his niece. Responding to the same, Sharmin shared that while growing up, she never realised the exceptional talent that her uncle, Sanjay possessed. And it was only after she started working with him that she started seeing him as a professional. In her words:
“When I was 18, I watched Devdas again, and I was like Oh my God, I am related to a genius. How has this person created this kind of cinema in 2001. He literally took the perspective of a camera and expanded it completely. I appreciate him so much more as a filmmaker because of what he has brought to Indian cinema. Then, after that, I assisted on Bajirao Mastani and I was actually getting yelled at by him. He is my uncle only when I want presents from him, otherwise he is always Sanjay sir for me.”
