For those who don’t know, Sara is a product of a broken home, her parents, Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh parted ways when their 13-year-long marriage started falling. However, the divorce of her parents made Sara even stronger and gave her the power to acknowledge her own reality. She even expressed in one of her interviews that it was good that they parted ways. Sara said, “It is not nice to live in a home where people are not happy. They are both, happy, bindaas and cool people, but individually. Together, they are not. And I think they too realized that. Fortunately, now I have two happy and secure homes to myself instead of one.” (Also Read: Deepshikha Nagpal Shares She Still Believes In Institution Of Marriage, Despite Being Divorced Twice)
Saif and Amrita got separated in the year 2004, and 8 years later, Saif found love in Bollywood’s fashionista, Kareena Kapoor and they soon got married. And, Sara was happiest to see her favourite ‘Poo’ from the film Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum as a part of their family. In a recent interview with Famously Filmfare, Sara was quoted as saying, “People tell me because you were such a die-hard Kareena Kapoor fan you willed her into your life.”
Sara is extremely close to her mother, Amrita Singh, and fans couldn’t help but notice the amount of similarity between the mother and daughter duo. Back in 2012, when Sara appeared on the cover of Hello Magazine with mommy, the comparisons were made. And, after six-years when Sara entered the industry, she was yet again compared to her mom. However, the young actress doesn’t take it as a compliment, until she can match her mom’s acting skills. But she still cried in the climax, so that was a big one for me.” In another interview with SpotboyE.com, Sara talked about her weight loss journey and said, “I was 96 kg at the time when I told my mother, sitting on the bed crying and saying, ‘Mom, all I want to do is become an actor.’ Then, she said that you need to lose weight. And, it took me about a year-and-half to lose that weight. So, I completed the remaining two years of my graduation in a year so that I can return and start working early.” (Don't Miss: Ranveer Singh Sends Kisses To Deepika Padukone On A Video Call While Promoting 'Gully Boy')
