Bollywood has witnessed some tough competition last year (2018). With many star kids and newcomers making their mark in the industry, Sara Ali Khan has undoubtedly stood out! People all over are talking about her confidence, poise, grace, beauty and talent. But there was one person who took a while to watch Sara’s debut film, Kedarnath. Do you know who he was? He was none other than Sara Ali Khan’s father, Saif Ali Khan! The reason as stated by Bollywood Hungama was, “He is just petrified to watch Sara on screen. Kareena keeps urging him to watch Kedarnath. But, Saif keeps putting it off.”
Saif Ali Khan and Sara Ali Khan’s camaraderie is something that we all have seen in many instances, more specifically, Koffee With Karan’s season 6, and must have loved it! ‘A father who is more like a friend’ is a phrase that is more likely to suit this celeb daddy-daughter duo. And hence, we have something adorable to make you go all ‘awww’! We came across a childhood picture of Sara Ali Khan, cuddled in her daddy, Saif’s lap and making a puppy face while her handsome father lovingly looks at her. The second picture has a kiddo Sara sitting with her father in their car. Take look at both the pictures and drool!
In an interview with Mid-Day, the Simmba actress spoke about her relationship with her parents, Saif and Amrita Singh. She stated, “I have grown up with a mother [Amrita Singh], and father, both of whom have never let me think that it's possible to not get something I want. These may not be materialistic things, because I'm not a materialistic girl, unless you're talking about bangles, in which case, I'm obsessive. But, they have given me immense attention and time. Going to New York made me recognise that sometimes, I would have to fight for these things, because I don't have Saif and Amrita, the strongest people I know, behind me. I could not get anything I wanted on a platter." (Also Read: Kedarnath Director Abhishek Kapoor's Wife Pragya Kapoor Shares Pic Of A Chill Time With Newborn Son)
Further sharing if ever discusses about work with her father, Sara stated, “He [Saif Ali Khan] looks at me like I'm a traitor for discussing films. He lives with Kareena [Kapoor], is a brother to Soha, and is an actor's son. So, now, if I discuss work, he's like, 'Please don't do this to me.' So, we don't talk about films often. We talk about history, argue about what Hitler's motivations were, or who was wrong in the Cold War. Sometimes, we discuss religion and how different beliefs and social systems came about. We both enjoy culture, travelling, good food, and great conversations."

Speaking about his and Sara’s relationship, the Agent Vinod star was quoted as saying in an interview, “I was quite young when I had Sara, we have a drink together from time to time. We are more like friends, so there's very little I can lecture her on in that sense. It's a bit odd, someone might even cast us in movie."
In yet another interview, Saif spoke about his nervousness upon Sara entering the film domain. He had shared, “(I am) A little nervous. Fear is the most driving factor in the industry. I am not looking down on acting, it's just it is not the most stable profession. And everyone lives in constant fear. And there is no guarantee that despite doing your best, you will succeed. This is not the life, any parent would want for their children." In yet another interview, Saif stated, “She has a lot of well wishers around her, from her mother (Amrita Singh) to me, Karan Johar to everybody. She can seek advice from anybody. I am very happy that she is doing something she is passionate about and its a beautiful job." Speaking about the same, Saif shared, “Ranveer Singh is doing film with Sara, it's an age gap. You know your children when they grow older it does make you suddenly feel like wow time has gone by. I used to be the youngest guy in movies I remember that. But I'm okay." Saif has also given his beautiful daughter a great piece of advice. Speaking about the same, he had stated “I have given her so many pieces of advice. I told her to be honest and to find what is special inside her and not to be like other people.”
