Bollywood actor, Saif Ali Khan's daughter, Sara Ali Khan had hit the silver screen with her commendable performance in her debut movie, Kedarnath, opposite the late actor, Sushant Singh Rajput. Since her debut film, the actress had grown a close-knit bond with her co-star, Sushant Singh Rajput, who had played the role of 'Mansoor' in the film.
On June 14, 2020, Sushant Singh Rajput had left for the heavenly abode as he was found hanging from the ceiling fan of his Bandra apartment. After his demise, Sara Ali Khan was deeply saddened by the news and that was pretty much evident through her social media posts. On November 7, 2021, as their film, Kedarnath is celebrating its third year anniversary, Sara couldn't help but remember late Sushant Singh Rajput.

On Kedarnath's anniversary, Sara Ali Khan took to her Instagram handle to share a video which featured montages from various scenes from the film. Along with the video, Sara added how the film will always remain special for her. Her caption can be read as:
''3 years ago my biggest dream came true. I became an actor, and my first, and most special film released. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to explain how much Kedarnath means to me- the place, the film, the memories, all of it.''
Going further in her nostalgic note, Sara Ali Khan remembered her co-star, late Sushant Singh Rajput and wrote:
''But today I’m really missing my Mansoor. It’s only because of Sushant’s unwavering support, selfless help, constant guidance and compassionate advice that Mukku was able to reach your hearts. From Kedarnath to Andromeda. Miss you forever Sushant. Thank you @gattukapoor for trusting me with your vision @ronnie.screwvala @rsvpmovies for believing in me and @kanika.d for creating a character and world that I will always be proud of #jaibholenath #harharmahadev #kedarnath''.

On late Sushant Singh Rajput's death anniversary on June 14, 2021, Sara Ali Khan had taken to her Instagram handle and had posted an adorable still from the film’s shoot. Along with the picture, she had penned an emotional note that could be read as:
“Whenever I needed help, advice or a laugh you were always there. You introduced me to the world of acting, made me believe that dreams could come true, and gave me all that I have today. Still can’t believe you’re gone. But every time I look at the stars, the rising sun or the moon I know you’re here. From Kedarnath to Andromeda.”
