Tamil superstar, Arya is receiving huge praises from across the nation for his incredible transformation and acting in his recently released film, Sarpatta Parambarai, for some time now. However, the actor is in the headlines once again, but not for the most impressive reasons. A Sri Lankan woman filed a complaint against him and accused him of false promise of marriage.
The actor was summoned by the Chennai Police recently. The investigation is also going on to find whether there are grounds in her complaint against Arya or not. In his recent interview, Arya addressed the severe accusations and revealed his side of the story.

On August 10, 2021, Arya appeared before the Chennai Police's Cybercrime wing after the officials summoned him on the basis of a Sri Lankan woman's complaint against him. According to the police officials, the Sri Lankan woman lives in Germany and accused the Tamil superstar of cheating and false promise of marriage. In her complaint, she also added that Arya had cheated on her for an amount of Rs. 70 lakhs. The woman named Vidja has also submitted the screenshots of her chat with Arya and sought a permanent ban on his films.
In an interview with SpotboyE, Arya opened up about the serious accusations directed towards him by Vidja in her police complaint. The actor explained that without a doubt, she is a fan who is trying to get some attention. However, the generous actor has also shown his care towards her, as he added that he hopes someone else has not cheated her on his name. The Arindhum Ariyamalum actor said, "It's some fan trying to get attention. I hope she has not been genuinely cheated by someone in my name. I am sure the truth will come out."

In another interview, a close friend of the actor also stated that Arya, his family and friends are quite relaxed about the situation because these sorts of things are quite common in a celebrity's life. He also added that his actor-friend isn't worried about the complaint because he has done nothing. Arya's friend said, "It is not uncommon for celebrities to be targeted for blackmail. Every major actor goes through it. It's Arya's turn now. We know the truth. Arya's family and friends are not worried."
On August 12, 2021, Arya's wife and actress, Sayyeshaa Saigal, turned a year older, and no wonder it is quite a tricky situation for the couple, who never misses a chance to shower their immense love on each other. There are chances that this controversy will have an impact on Sayyeshaa's birthday celebrations.
Last year, Arya had wished his wife, Sayyeshaa, on her first birthday after their wedding with a cosy picture. In the lovely photo, we could see the couple posing for the camera with immense delight with their heads leaned towards one another. Along with the picture, Arya had written, "Happy birthday my wifey" in the caption.
For the unversed, on Valentine's Day 2019, Sayyeshaa had announced her wedding with her longtime actor-boyfriend, Arya, who is a big name in the Tamil industry. Almost a month after the announcement, on March 10, 2019, Sayyeshaa and Arya had walked down the aisle in a grand ceremony, followed by a lavish reception party on March 12, 2019.
