Diljit Dosanjh is not only an Indian singer and actor but also a global icon, representing India on numerous international platforms. The actor-singer has continuously been grabbing the headlines with his unparalleled acting skills in the movies like Jatt And Juliet 3, Crew, Jodi, Amar Singh Chamkila and more. For the unversed, Diljit's popularity heightened after he became the first-ever Indian to perform at Coachella back in 2023. After this, the singer has been hosting back-to-back houseful concerts.
Diljit Dosanjh is the man of the hour whose fandom shoots up every passing day. All his fans were elated when the singer announced that he would be conducting a Dil-Luminati Tour in India as well, wherein he will be performing in Delhi, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Pune, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Indore, Chandigarh, and Guwahati. On September 10, 2014, the ticket sale went live on Zomato, and they were sold out within a few minutes. There is no doubt that the craze for Diljit is insane, but so were the ticket prices, which ranged over Rs. 15 to 25 thousand.

Bringing up the topic of concert ticket prices, influencer, Saumya Sahni took to her Instagram account and shared a video. In it, the influencer said that an Indian artist should not keep his conviction prices so high, as India's economy is not very stable at the moment. Indians have very limited means to entertainment and considering that, Diljit should have kept the concert prices low. In Saumya's words:
"Ek Indian artiste ka koi haq nahi banta ki woh 20-25 hazar rupaye ek concert ke charge kare jab woh six cities play kar rahe hai. Woh teen sets play kar sakte hai. Kyunki aapke core audience ke paas paisa nahi hai, employment nahi hai, ek bohut hi limited means of entertainment hai. Bohot hi kam artistes hai joh iss desh ke liye, unki language mein perform kar pate hain. Aur uske baad ek middle-class insaan ka koi access nahi hai us artiste tak."
Soumya added that Diljit's target audience are mainly kids, middle-class families and regional fan base who understand his language. So, how could he charge such an obnoxious amount in this economy? He is earning well overseas, so he could have spared his own countrymen with cheaper ticket prices. Saumya further added:
"It is very wild to me that an artiste jiska concert bachche bhi dekhne jaa sakte hain, ek middle class family dekhne jaa sakti thi... they make so much money overseas that they could exempt these things for the country. Like bahar artiste ke sau-dedh sau dollar ke ticket hote hain, ki bas utna hi jitna ek set up ke liye chahiye. Lollapalooza ke passes kitne kam ke hain eine bade lineup ke baad bhi. 15K for a concert? In this economy? In this country?"
Once Diljit's manager, Sonali Singh recounted a remarkable incident when Diljit Dosanjh was unusually late for a concert in Jalandhar. The situation was so dire that they had to resort to an unexpected solution-landing a chopper in a car parking lot. Sonali shared that the chopper was initially booked to prevent any delays, but ironically, it was the chopper itself that was late. This unexpected turn of events left everyone in suspense, as they pondered the fate of the eagerly waiting audience. Sonali revealed that much later, the chopper arrived, but due to the delay, the pilot had to land it in a car parking lot. Sonali mentioned that everyone in the audience thought that Diljit was making an entry by landing a chopper, but it was actually unplanned and worked in their favour. In Sonali's words:

"But then the chopper did arrive. The chopper was suppose to land at some other place but since we got so late, the pilot landed the chopper at the car parking right behind the stage. Everybody thought Diljit was making an entry by landing on stage by chopper but that wasn’t the entry we planned. It just worked in our favour. Universe always works in your favour.”
Diljit Dosanjh leaves no stone unturned to melt the hearts of his fans. His electrifying songs often leave his fans grooving to the beats. However, as per several reports, the singer charges a whopping amount to perform live. As per a report by DNA, Diljit charges a whopping amount of Rs. 4 crore for private shows and live concerts, while he reportedly got an amount of Rs. 30 crore for his soulful performance at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's pre-wedding soiree.
