Seema Kapoor is one of the most popular faces of television shows in the '90s. She rose to fame with her debut show, Kismat, which was directed by Ramesh Sippy. She went on to become a rage with shows like Kurukshetra, Hum Saath Aath Hai, Hasratein and many more. She was even the first Nagin of the television industry, and people have loved her role in it. Apart from her amazing professional life, her personal life wasn't a bed of roses. She had amazing work but no one to talk to enjoy the perks of life. For the first time, Seema Kapoor talked about being involved with a person, who lied about his marital status.
Recently, Seema Kapoor talked with Sidharth Kannan on his YouTube show. She shared about her beautiful career, and how she always knew that she wanted to be an actor. However, her personal life wasn't a rosy one. Seema revealed that at the age of fifteen, she fell in love with an industrialist. But the man lied to her about his marital status. Seema was left shattered when she found out about him being already married. Things took such an ugly turn that she even tried to commit suicide.

Seema further stated that the man who wooed her was twenty years older than her. She was fifteen years old while he was twenty. She stated that she only knew that he had a daughter, and he lied about his wife, stating that he had divorced her.
Seema stated that her mother was from a rich businessman family, and had arrogance in it. She never wanted the actress to join Bollywood and would often beat her if she ever expressed her desire to join films. The actress stated while her parents parted ways when she was just six years old, she chose to stay with her mother.

But her mother's constant bad behaviour towards her made her call her father, and she decided to stay with him. Seema added that her mother had a terrible relationship with her. She would often beat her. Her parents would keep fighting. She added that it is one of the reasons why she stayed away from getting attached to people.
